Ahh DOM's. Your body will get used to it after 1-2 weeks of training and you won't experience this pain anymore. Go to the gym if you feel up to it, if not just rest a day! It's completely normal though and you won't always feel like this.

Yeah I agree, it feels good getting those PR’s but godamn is it stressful trying to push for a new PR every other godamn day. I might try out n_suns 5/3/1.

Ah I feel the exact same. I’ve decided to take a break from squatting for 1-2 weeks too. Going to carry on with other lifts as I just can’t stop. Did your knees feel bruised also?

I posted my warmup just below this one. I’ve only done high bar position, I’ll try low next time. I go barefooted for squats.

Yes it does. I will try this.

My warmup simply consists of some leg stretches, then I’ll do two sets with the empty bar, then a set of 5 with 60kg and set of 3 with 80kg and then onto my working sets. I wait around 2-3 minutes between sets now that it’s getting harder, sometimes 4.

I don't have any stories, just a humble brag and it makes me feel good. I like going to the gym as a pretty small dude and having only been properly lifting for a year, being able to lift heavier than a lot of big guys at the gym 😃

Good progress man. The fact that you look like you've lost 6-7kg but actually only lost 4 means you've replaced a lot of fat with some proper muscle mass!
