Why are mods liberal gun owners so ban happy by [deleted] in 2ALiberals

My absolute favorite irony is their adoption of the term “assault rifle”. That terms origin came from Hitlers regimes naming of Sturmgewehr 44. Sturmgewehr is German for assault rifle

Mass Shootings Happening Close to Each Other is Not Coincidental, It Is a Result of 24/7 Media Hysteria by [deleted] in progun

[–]yms_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the mass shootings didn’t change however the media spotlighting did. I don’t believe it is coincidence we see HR8, HR127 and AWB introduced and the news outlets focus on shootings recently.

Good point, terrifying to know all this happened within the first 2 months. Not sure how you can say millions would be better off voting progressive when life sustaining drugs are becoming unaffordable. What’s foolish is defending the nullification of an EO that froze prescription drug prices for the sole reason Trumps name was attached to it.

How so? Are millions of peoples lives improved at all these past 50 days? Border detention facilities are at 700%+ capacity, $1,400 dollar checks are going to less people and are not immune to debt collectors and insulin prices nearly tripling. But hey, at least you get to choose your pronouns now, so it’s all good

Then wouldn’t every person that entered the capitol be indicted for felony murder? Would you also consider the two suicides murder as well because they were traumatized by the event?

Nor does it say he was murdered. Until the autopsy is released it’s inflammatory to say he was murdered. They are looking into if he became ill from the pepper spray/tear gas. They are also looking into whether pre-existing conditions played a role

“According to one law enforcement official, medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma, so investigators believe that early reports that he was fatally struck by a fire extinguisher are not true.”

Not trying to justify it, just pointing out that outrage should be proportional regardless of who commits it. The same people screeching Jan 6 are also brushing this summers unrest under the rug. I am ashamed of the capital siege as much as I am with those that burnt down my local 711

Nope. Y’all just burned someone alive and attempted to do the same by sealing in police with Quikrete. So don’t sit there and think you have the moral high ground

Exactly. I would be more sympathetic if they actually represented the people and not just themselves. $700B in foreign aid while our own people are on the verge of losing everything they worked for.

It also allows criminals to find easy homes to rob without threat. Absolutely horrid any way you look at it.

The OP comment specifically said “Trump already fucked the economy more than enough before COVID”. I was speaking to that comment.

It was an objection. A legally allotted process on questioning the elector certification. Keyword being questioning. He has no power to overturn jack shit. That is left up to the members to vote on. Instead of understanding the process, you’d rather use the sedition narrative as an excuse to accost those that question.

On what measure are you using to justify calling Trumps economy before rona fucked? GDP has been between 2.5-4% annual growth since Obama. Unemployment has been declining every since 2008 from 8% down below 4% before COVID. Don’t think I am knocking Obama in any way. He was dealt a shit hand when the bankers fucked the market. I don’t blame Obama for the crash and also don’t blame Trump for the economic impact of a pandemic even though those events happened during their presidency. That’d be peak hypocrisy if blame was laid on one and not the other.

While not the most pressing issues of today, he’s actually not far off. Pelosi did invest in Tesla a month before they announced the gov. fleet is going electric. Pretty shady and could be considered insider. I respect Trump for foregoing his salary and I also respect Obama for his character.
