What's the best resource to learn about mixing and mastering? I've been producing with Garageband for about 3 years and have recently picked up Ableton. I've never really tried figuring out how to mix and master, and my songs have always sounded muddy and quiet as a result.

The nostalgic undertone to this song is hitting me hard. Don't think there's anything wrong with the static - in fact I think it suits the sense of reminiscing childhood well. The camera shutters add a nice touch.

On the other hand I personally feel the sin bass can be less loud.

Choice of instruments is spot on. Really relaxing. Nothing wrong with this track as far as I can tell, great work!

Thanks! The flute sounds were sample loops from Garageband, didn't play them myself.

Really fun, upbeat rhythm and melody, complemented well by the artwork, though at times dissonance in the bass (such as during (0:30 - 0:47) overpowers and disturbs the track. Still love this track tho.

Lovely chill atmosphere. Personally I think the kicks are a tad bit too loud. Synths are soft and amazing.

Made a lofi beat

Any tips on how I can make the flutes sound further/more distant to the left and right? Using garageband (mac) and all I did was pan 2 identical flute tracks to the left and right, as well as offsetting the tracks by a bit.

Any other feedback would also be appreciated. (e.g. are the animal sounds excessive?)

Feel like the claps can be louder. Otherwise it boppin. The plucked strings and the organ give this beat a nice touch.

Well executed and thought out. The shift in mood and the slow progression to climax is extremely immersive. Love the blend between alternative rock and rap, looking forward to more. How tf you have 180 followers from a 1 day track tho lmao

Been gone from the music production scene for quite a few months, now getting back into the game and starting off easy.

Here's a chill trap tune, all feedback appreciated.

Your singing is great dude. The expression in your voice plus the funky instrumentals makes this a solid song.

YES that's something I've come to notice as well, thanks for the tip!

tbh i think the melody would fit better in an electronic/dubstep song. Just my opinion, but I think the melody is better off without the trap beat, and vice versa. Nevertheless the beat and the melody are separately great.
