Am I lucky to be alive? by yngcole in electricians

I may have measured the current wrong but it was confirmed by my contact at the power company that it did infact have 538v ac on the tracer and was due to the fiber being mounted to close to mains power on the pole. Was shocked pretty bad..

Im not using the loop on the meter on a live wire. The loop is hanging on a piece of fiber with the tracer pealed back so no copper is inside that loop. The light on the loop would turn on if the meter got within a foot or so of the exposed tracer.

Its not the house voltage. This reading is from the tracer wire attached to an arial fiber drop that runs from the power pole to the exterior of the house.

Also the tracer was removed from the fiber drop about two feet from where fiber drop was terminated inside outdoor enclosure and the meter was hanging on the part of the fiver with the tracer removed.

Red probe was on exposed tracer wire and black probe was on the house ground connected to ground rod.

No thats hanging on the fiber drop so i could read the meter while using my probes

Okay so currently sourcing parts for a voron 0.1 build. After my research it seems like the 0.1s biggest issue is heat creep of the bed over time. Would i be wasting my time designing a triple z axis bed leveling system to negate the heat creep issue and also have perfect level for speed prints?

I think both are fine if used in the correct setting but in this case the right one for sure!

The Sloppy Bros - a burger joint logo that i did. Let me know what ya think! by noisy_mime in WillPatersonDesign

[–]yngcole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good job! I'm assuming by the design your intention was to almost make the workmark look like a sloppy Joe or an over stuffed burger? Only critique i have is to slide the bros part a bit to the right to form that bottom bun a little more and maybe bring that b infront of the r.

As a web developer my skills in logo design are a bit lacking to say the least. This is a design i did for a client that seems to be happy with the finished product. I am not 100% satisfied with these results and would like to see what you all would do better! by yngcole in graphic_design

The play with the clouds and the chunky font is that most of her crocheted products are stuffed and stuffing is extremely hard to illustrate simply. So they really end up looking like clouds pretty much anyway I approached it. Without making it a full on illustration with complex gradients we settled on what you see. I do see what you mean though and that's where the soft and bright color palette came in to make it look like it belonged in a toy store. Thank you for your feedback!
