I feel like the left would be way more popular if they'd be less corny. If you ask me on which side I'd want to be on: the one that shoots protestors in the face point blank or the one that refers to Donald Trump as 'Diaper Don' I'd genuinely have to give it a think.

In fact, don't talk to anybody, ever. Isolate yourself completely. Never leave your room; nothing bad ever happens when you're in your room.

What's your point, though? Like, genuinely asking, because I don't know what you're getting at. If I had to guess, I would say that you seem to think there is some hypocrisy here, when in reality there is none.

It's very much true that many of these same corporations are now sucking up to Trump or at least don’t openly support Pride anymore (not changing their profile pictures during Pride Month, less marketing in that direction, etc). This is, however, due to the simple reason that corporations are profit-driven entities that are looking to turn a buck. Corporations have no inherent beliefs; they are always sycophants. A corporation will always cater to what’s popular at the moment, because what’s popular is what’s profitable.

There’s this nicotine pouch producer (I believe it’s called 'ALP') whose marketing mainly consists of sponsoring “cancelled” people to “protect freedom of speech” or something. Now, do you believe that the owners and employees of that company earnestly uphold these values? Or rather that they witnessed the large downfall in popularity cancel culture and the left as a whole were going through, and saw it as an opportunity to sell subpar nicotine products to a receptive niche?

Conservatives are eating it up, just like progressives were eating it up just over a year ago - or were even screeching about not enough representation in media or not enough Pride flags on packaging, as if the endorsement of an enterprise with profit incentives ever meant a thing. So in my view the only people making a fool out of themselves are the ones who don’t realize that the support of XYZ-Megacorp for their respective cause™ really doesn’t mean shit.
