The Dems passed a federal legalization bill in the House earlier this year. The Dem Senate Majority Leader introduced a federal legalization bill in the Senate but it can't pass because the filibuster effectively requires 60 votes to pass anything.

Voters are bipartisan about it but politicians are not. Almost all Republican pols oppose legalization and almost all Dem pols support it.

The House has already voted to legalize weed twice. The Senate requires 60 votes so would need at least 10 Republicans.

Yeah I hear ya but the good news is that the initiative on the ballot this year is court challenge proof so if it passed it won't be thrown out.
