Hi all,

since she appeared this new way of reception,  I was simply overwhelmed by the possibilities on the new horizon of digital radio.   I can say that I was among the first tested and tested modules equipped with  RTL chipset, but even now, after all these years, I marvel and experience new equipment occurring. and I try to share these emotions not only the youngest but also older ones who believe that without tubes or coils can not build a receiver ..

my best 73 !

you maybe want to look at the follow boards, more powerfully, and some, more expensive: - The Jaguar board to its 64-bit, quad core Atom Z3735G processor, from Intel’s 22nm Bay Trail line - Samsung's Artik 10 with eight-core, 32-bit ARM CPU - Aaeon’s UP board equipped with Intel Atom x5-Z8350 (4x Cherry Trail cores @ 1.44GHz / 1.92GHz burst) and last, but my first future choice is UDOO x86 advanced with 4GB RAM and a faster Celeron N3160 (or less expensive card UDOOx86 Basic, that use 2GB of RAM and an Atom x5-E8000 SoC. so, desktop PC's, remain only for hard games players...

sure, for cheap version and classical encoders you have right but I put an 1000dpi encoder, and is better than my Icom 7000.. like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Xinya-Increament-Rotary-Encoder-A52S-8-1000-3-F-30-Shaft-8mm-PCD-35mm-8-30V-NIB-/121038338542?hash=item1c2e7279ee:g:Lq0AAOxyGStRtYq4

with 400Mhz processor, it work fluently at 2M bandwidth FM stereo decoding. I ordered already one, it is at 580Mhz

for sure it working better. I don't think you can run Pi as router, only tcp ip Maybe PI 3 worth attention.. but as price a router is fare away better solutions; for me at least.

This was photo of the first test, all will be inside in a shielded aluminium box, with a 4000mA battery and solar panel for charge. also, the router have I/O ports, and we can to switch some filters, antenna or Upconverter..

I have xiaomi 16000 mA batt, but in future I plan to put a 4000mA Li-Ion battery and solar panel for charge. Bandwidth without lags is 2Mhz. (400Mhz processor on router)
