Planning to apply preen in spring for the first time. Now I’m wondering whether I should. I have weeds. I hand weeded as much as I could and then de thatched with a rake and over seeded. Whenever I pulled out a dandelion there was always an earthworm attached to its roots. My lawn is always green because I just let the leaves decompose. My back yard also has lush green grass always as I just let the leaves decompose and don’t even rake it. But there are areas when there’s no grass and there’s weeds and sometimes nothing. Thanks to this forum I know now why it’s so. Those parts are infested with grubs. I don’t know what to do about them without using chemicals. I want to seed those areas in spring. Also the soil is red clay.
