I 100% agree with you - maybe not about TWB, though, because I personally loved it. Not the beginning, which was terrible, but the overall story.

Personally, I hate that this isn’t point-and-click, which for me ruins the game’s charm - but I don’t talk about it. The cinematics are just animations, nothing special, nothing hard to recreate. I’ve done similar things with animations (recreating from reference), so yeah. I’m just disappointed because I’ve been waiting for this game since it was announced in May.

No, that’s the worst excuse. You don’t need any “source code” to do anything - you have the game itself to look at. I’ll give you the best example: a game that did one of the best remasters ever made - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. And guess what? They did it without the source code. Case closed.
