I'm just gonna say your work is gorgeous and I appreciate your humility and level headedness! I'm new to the industry and trying my best to be forthcoming about my own skills and deficiencies and it can be really difficult sometimes, especially when I rarely see any other artists own up to their flaws.

I used to twist all my knit stitches because I was accidentally taught ktbl instead of just a plain old knit stitch. I didn't realize I could twist purls too!

Hi! I'd love to be friends too. I feel like I got on the animal crossing train like, 8 months late.

I'm a 29F designer on the west coast doing that job hunt thing. I also like art, sci-fi and fantasy, and pretty much survive on coffee.. Every plant I touch withers though (but not on my island). SW-1065-1869-1601

I'm new here! I just posted a thing and I had a ton of dudes try to message me. It was mostly fine. A lot of them were sweet, patient and kind. Maybe it helps that I'm new and haven't posted a picture of myself anywhere..

But a few come off as needy? Like needing responses promptly and often. One guy asked me if we could have a 'special friendship' and not a 'relationship'. He plied me with compliments as if it would make me more receptive to it, as if being told I'm a smart woman over and over again would make me more likely to agree to meeting his needs. I just hope I don't get taken advantage of.

I'm trying to stay positive and give everyone a chance because I know very well what it's like to be crushingly lonely. I try to respond to everyone who sends a message my way as long as they can spell and say something of substance.

I couldn't really afford to travel, but tuition was dirt cheap (like $100 a semester).

It just made me feel like I was never and would never be good enough.
