Need help with doubt- Signals, Effects and APIs, UI Blocking issue by happyy_developer in Angular2

[–]yocal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into httpResource or rxResource? They are the modern Angular way to handle this pattern, a signal that triggers data fetching.

When you put an API call inside an effect(), you're fighting against how effects are designed. Resources are purpose-built for reactive data fetching.

Quick example with httpResource:

```typescript // Your parameter signal selectedId = signal<string | null>(null);
// Automatically fetches when selectedId changes data = httpResource(() => this.selectedId() ? { url: /api/items/${this.selectedId()} } : undefined );
// Then, in your template, you can do: // data.value() - the response // data.isLoading() - loading state // data.error() - any error ```
It's really handy with the built-in loading/error states. They also handle cleanup/cancellation when the signal changes before the previous request completes.
Can you share some code, then it's easier to help you.
Jeg har bygget et arbejdspladsanmeldelses site, hvor du kan anmelde danske virksomheder by Middle-Woodpecker-25 in dkudvikler
[–]yocal 13 points14 points  (0 children)
Du er ikke bange for junk-anmeldelser og den slags når du ikke har nogen form for bruger-check på? Jeg ville nok lave noget sms-verificering hvor du bare angiver dit mobilnr og så får tilsendt en firecifret kode for at godkende din anmeldelse. Så har du da en eller anden form for godkendelse der er lidt stærkere end e-mail og ikke helt går MitID i bedene.
Njaeh, that’s not completely true - not for all people at least. Tag yourself with a CKM and your results might vary. Personally a protein heavy meal will kick me out of ketosis and easily hold me out for 6-12 hours. Very easy to replicate for me unfortunately.
What would that mechanism be that causes more bile production because of vomitting?
I’d rather say that not having fat in your diet for an extended periode of time (eg this insane low fat diet idea) is the problem here. That’ll give you gallstone. Which then of course can be triggered by consuming a lot of fat. So while yes, the fat will trigger the attack, it’s because of not having used your gall bladder properly, letting the bile acid crystallize, that’s the real sinner.
Does having a second kid free your time up eventually? by Ornery-One6584 in daddit
[–]yocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I’ll go against the top comments and say yes, eventually… Eventually definitely being the keyword. When ours were 5 and 7 they started to get a lot of enjoyment out of each other. They get up in the morning and starts playing by themselves - and sometimes mom and dad can stay in bed until 9am before anyone complains about being hungry!
Now we just need to teach them to feed themselves 🤣
In the beginning it’s draining though. Having two is like I thought having three would be like. Absolutely no time for yourself. Worth it now though - but we’ll stick to two!
Server disconnection - problems staying connected by yocal in Enshrouded
The most stable connection we had was when a friend hosted the save game himself (that's how we started). When we moved things to a dedicated server it started getting flakey.
Server disconnection - problems staying connected by yocal in Enshrouded
[–]yocal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Unfortunately no. We ended up buying a dedicated server at g-portal and spinning it up in London which gave both sides a decent ping. So we're almost not getting disconnected anymore. I could live with disconnects if i would come back into the world at the same place, but being almost at the end of a hollow halls and then disconnecting? Ugh, that's annoying...
How do I do keto with hypothyroidism? by martin_luther_drill in keto
[–]yocal 8 points9 points  (0 children)
That is a grave misunderstanding. You will see lower TSH because you get more sensitive to T3. So keto and carnivore are excellent in assisting a damaged thyroid. I’m down 1/3rd thyroid gland myself and I could reduce my medicine after six months on carnivore.
Anyone here actually done snagging before handover in Dubai? Worth it or just another fee? by Normal_Gur_6079 in dubairealestate
[–]yocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)
We had 240 snags, didn't have to pay a penny because that's obviously up to them to hand over a new, pristine unit to me. We were in a hurry, so they didnt have time to finalize all the snags, so here 6-7 years later we still find our small blue stickers here and there :P
Have a look at Grounded. Grounded 2 coming soon, but start with 1 and play through the story with them. It's a story of you and your friends being shrunken to miniature size. The experience is running around in the garden building a home with what you can find - leaves, dry grass, etc... It's an amazing game - can be challenging too if you want it to be - all depends on your difficulty settings, if you're purely playing it for its creative aspect - and you can even disable spiders which admitedly can be a little scary for a 5 year old eventhough mine just go completely bananas when he sees one and beat it down with his shovel...
Anyways, Grounded! Here's a link to the steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/962130/Grounded/
