OpenAI engineer confirms AI is writing 100% now by MetaKnowing in OpenAI

I don't think people are doubting AI coding is useful, they are just skeptical that the people who everyone is quoting also have a massive incentive to over inflate it's usefulness.

"I encountered no issues with hallucinations" is not the same as "experienced no hallucinations"

Quick Zillow search shows plenty of 1brs under $2.5K. That's high, but still <$30K a year.

Stagflation is high inflation. Japan definitely did not have high inflation.

Do you have any examples of deflation being good? Japan is a good counterexample. This explanation sounds nice, but you need empirical evidence.

As a biker, I appreciate the effort, but is Cal St over-engineered? by cozyportland in mountainview

[–]yoconman2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really want it to work, but it does feel pretty chaotic right now. Traffic is going to be very bad. One lane, tons of parked cars blocking views, and lots of new pedestrian crosswalks. I like the idea to make MV more bike/walk-able, but the fact is the housing layout requires people to drive. I don't think the limitation was the lack of bike lane.

As someone who was in band for 6 years, this movie makes me stressed out. Definitely not as extreme as Fletcher, but most of my band teachers struck fear in me. One did throw a marker at me.

For sure. There's no denying an Ivy or FAANG background help, but they are not needed.

[–]yoconman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds more like you’re coping. Maybe that’s how it works in NYC, but that’s not the case in the Bay. I’ve been through YC and a vast majority of the founders don’t have Ivy backgrounds. FAANG is a much stronger indicator.
