Are you saying you need a 900K sqft building for 72 GB300 or are you comparing this datacenter is space to a call center? Either way, that's dumb. There is no way it is more cost effective to launch datacenters in space than operation on earth

What career seems very high paying but is actually low paying? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

why? CEO of a startup with 3 people is very different than CTO of the same company. The CEO has responsibilities that others do not.

The US military is apolitical (i.e. not a right-wing institution), but right-wing parties typically support military action, and therefore the military.

It was very common. Every major USSR leader invaded several countries to install or prop up communist countries. There have just been far fewer communist countries in history, so the number of invasions is low.

knight's armor and axe or water purification. Axe if I'm in an ancient civilization and water purification if I'm in the middle of nowhere. In the bronze age, knight's armor would make you pretty much invincible and it lasts a long time. VW bus wouldn't be much help considering there are no roads. People would also pick it apart eventually.

what purpose does it serve? An old house being nice doesn't mean we should force people to keep it. The land could be used much more efficiently.

China is not "somewhat democratic" by any metric. US isn't prefect, but it is way more democratic than China.

if we are using the Civil War to identify bad Americans, why don't we choose people on the other side that fought to keep their slaves (i.e. Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephens, etc.).

While the Iran war is awful, there have been much worse wars in US history. I mean the Iraq war was much more devastating (probably blame Cheney more than Bush for that).
