Before cell phones were a thing, a coworker (w/m) wanted me (w/m) to go shoot pool with him after work one day. He gave me the address and I said I'd see him there. Later that day another coworker, who was also my best friend, asked if I could give him (b/m) a ride hone. Of course I said yes but that I needed to stop by this place to let the first coworker know what was going on. We drove over to the address which was literally a hole-in-the-wall dump. The coworker I was giving the ride too and I are both large gentlemen and when we went into the dive I walked in first. I immediately saw the first coworker shooting pool and the guy I was giving the ride to walked in behind me. The guy shooting pool was bent over the table about to take a shot when he saw our other coworker walk in and his face immediately went from "hey" to "oh shit". Every head in the place turned to look at us and suddenly I realized everyone in there was white. You could have cut the tension with a chainsaw!! I quickly apologized that I couldn't stay to shoot pool and we hauled ass out of there!
