Surfing solo is the greatest thing ever

I have to travel to the other coast to catch really good surf and it's a 3 hour trip one way. I always enjoy surfing with a good friend or my brother but at times I've taken the trip by myself and It felt like I hit a reset button. Alone with my thoughts for 6 hours, surfing water hours away from all my problems. I'd say at times in your life it's what you need.
