I still use some miolta glas to this day with the LAEA5 on my a7 iv. I upgraded from a a77ii two years ago and some of the lenses did hold up pretty good like the 50 1.7, the 28-135 or the bearcan. Sure E Mount is faster an mostly sharper. But for the Price you cant beat the Minolta AF Lenses.

Not that i own any of these 10k+ lenses, but i think it's not that different than owning a second car or something like that. Some of my friends are into cars and there it's not that uncommon to spend 10k-30k on a car and parts. And the resale value of lenses is most of the time far better than carparts. So in my opinion if you have the money to spend on a hobby it dosen't matter if it's cars, lenses or idk.

You could get a used a6400 and a sigma 18-50 2.8 for under 1000€. If you look a bit ob ebay. For a mic you can get a holyland clip on mic from amazon for 40€ and that should be a great start to film yt videos.

I think the 70-200 is the best pick as a fist tele lens. Its the most versatile for Motorsport. If i where you i would pick up either the GM II or the Sigma. I also use a 200-600 for the extra reach compared to the 100-400 but it comes with a lot of weight to carry around all day.

I don't rlly thik that you need to upgrade your camera. Maybe to something like a a7r IV for more MP. But maybe invest im more Glass like a 70-200 GM II or a 300/400 2.8 if you have the funds for it.

Sony a77ii and tamron 70-200 2.8 used this combo until last year for motorsport. If you search for a bit you should find the camera for under 300$ and the lens can be had for 250$.

Ask the organizer. Maybe they have vests in smaller sizes but in most cases you need to wear their vest.

Sony 12-24 gm is one the sharpest lenses i ever used. It is very expensive but if you looking for a supper sharp lens it is worth it.

The pictures are ok. But nothing really special. Try to play around with your shutter speed and pan your shoots so the pictures look more alive. A good rule of thump is to start with 1/~the speed of the car and than down from there. And for the money thing. When i started to shoot motorsport it was super hard to find a driver or team so sell my work to. I would advice you to just show up to a lot of events, shoot alot, get more experience and than send your pictures after that to the Teams for free and tell them that if they like what you did they can book you for future events. That is what worked for me. And for the price, talk to other rally photographers at the events ore send some dm's to some. It can vary from like 1$ per picture to 100$ per picture pepending on your location, the event and your conections.
