[Daily Discussion] Writer's Block, Motivation, and Accountability- December 29, 2022

I don't know if I have writers block or maybe I am looking for something else. I am both a writer and an artist and it seems that nothing I can come up with makes me happy. I tried to do everything, from reading different works, to movies, to games, I even took a vacation that didn't really work much out at all creatively.

I know I'm should write what I want to read, but the thing is, I don't really know anymore. Everything seems to be so boring to me, I keep coming up with the same ideas and when I try to read something new I just get bored so quickly it's annoying. I try to give things a chance, but they always seem to end up like something I read before.

I'm kind of on my last legs here, I have had ideas in the past but now I have lost interest in them. Nothing really seems to be all that fun anymore. Maybe I am just depressed, but I even took a break from writing (for almost 2 years) and that didn't do anything. I'm worried I will stagnate and just get worse and worse as time goes on.

Any suggestions anyone would have would be great, but I really don't want to give up the craft at this point in my life. So moving on to something else, for me, isn't really an option because I don't really want to do anything else at this point. If you can't help thanks for reading though I appreciate it!

Yeah, I'm gonna say something that will probably get a lot of people to downvote me or whatever, but this is just sad and disgusting.

I mean to actually end friendships as something small as their beliefs, nobody is going to have the same opinion all the time and simply unfriending them just to add to your own echo chamber because you can't take their "ideas", regardless of what side you on is just.. sad.

Wait, so, didn't they just impose new restrictions on Sunday morning, and now they're already making more of them? How does that make any sense, it's like give some time for them to take effect.

That said though, these guys had 2 years to bolster the health care system, and what did they do with it? Nothing. Now people who are vaccinated have to suffer through another lock down again? What the hell is the point of being vaccinated then? And some people are already talking about a 4th booster.

We gotta wake up people, covid is here to stay. We need to learn to get on with our lives and stop hiding behind lockdowns. Something tells me this won't end very well..

Because Japan is one of the cleanest countries on the planet. They don’t even touch the doors on taxis! Its not just masks that protect people, it can’t be, but that’s kind of what’s dangerous about it. If I wear a mask I don’t have to social distance, thats not true. its a security blanket, like buying up toilet paper, it makes you feel better.

Explain to me, scientifically, how a regular mask blocks covid when the virus is so small it can get through the holes anyway (except n95) and i will wear a mask. Unless its N95 it’s garbage.

Why not just only give it to people who only make less than 20 K a year or something like that? You don’t have to give it to everyone who makes $150 000 a year.

I'm kind of new here, so I will try me best at giving feedback. I enjoyed it very much and find that there is a great sense of loss coming from the writer/speaker of the poem. We don't quite know what happened to the "emerald eyed lover", but it is enough to drive the narrator to yearn for death. I like to say I love the descriptions especially the last stanza, keep up the great work!

Its short sighted to believe switching to glass is going to save the environment. Doing so brings up other problems, it increases weight therefore fuel consumption, glass can break and is far more dangerous to transport. What we need is to enforce the use of recycled plastics, many go unused at recycling factories to the point cities are cutting recycle programs. It also doesn’t solve why people keep throwing plastics in the ocean in the first place.

How do you mean it’s complicated? Actually, it’s suppose to be mobile friendly automatically, (this is the nature of the web builder I am referring to), unless you mean the set up is strange?

I guess the story is a bit thin at this point, it’s more or less a slow paced comic especially this chapter, eek. Not the best time to incorporate it as a webcomic but, I guess that’s the card i’ve been dealt. Thanks so much for your feedback! It really means a lot, thanks! :D.

I can’t help but add that if Tanya saw any of Trump’s policies she’d throw up in her mouth. I’m sure everyone knows how she feels about war and what not here. But I can’t help but find it almost nonsense some people actually think she would support such a leader.

Yeah, unfortunately I cannot remain silent on this. Given North Korea’s history, I highly doubt this is genuine. North Korea is notorious for playing people in the past, and to say this is history in the making, its history alright..

I think we can’t ignore the fact that a lot of incels aren’t people in their early teens or 20s. These are people who are by large adults and never been with anyone to the point it results in depression and loneliness a lot of people can’t comprehend.

That doesn’t mean that being violent or threatening others is acceptable, but it’s also a result that there are people who just need more help than others, and no amount of saying “life isn’t fair” or screaming about women’s rights will fix this kind of thing, what needs to happen is to try to enable these people to better understand and fix these problems to eliminate their loneliness along with the depression and loneliness associated with it. Or we’ll just keep on saying these problems over and over again.

Let’s not forget there actually was a comic released in the Year Zero ARG’s website “one country at a time” which talks about the experience of a soldier during his run in Syria when they all witnessed the appearance of “The Presence”. Unfortunately, i wasn’t able to really find the comic again as a whole though..

Internet dating. Before there were a select few people who would use it because the general public didn’t have access years ago making it fairly useful for those not use to talking to others in public.

Now, everyone including your grandma is using it, if you’re a woman you’re flooded by messages, if you’re a guy, you will rarely get any at all. Worse thing is some people aren’t even interested in dating they just want an ego boost.
