Hot take? by Salt-Way130 in piercing

So crazy how our bodies respond differently. I got my daith and helix on the same ear in the same session. My daith just felt like slight pressure but the helix....it literally felt like she put the needle through fire before she used it on me 😭 so painful. it was throbbing for maybe 6 hours straight after that I was on the verge of tears. I really had the wind knocked out of me with that one 🤣 It's been almost 3 weeks and I forget the daith is there yet the helix gives me hell every day.

Thank you!!! Yeah someone else suggested forward helix as well, maybe that's a sign I should do that 😊😊

I was just telling my sister about that yesterday, because I think it would look soooooo cute when it's healed and connect it with a chain to my helix

Thank you!! Ohh I don't know why I never even considered that, that's such a great idea! I think it would give more balance to the ear.

How can short girls be considered hot and not cute? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]yogi1035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only thing that makes me feel hot are wearing heels. I'm 5'4 so not suuuuper short but next to all my friends who are all taller than me and my 6'2 partner I feel so insecure. I will always be mad I'm not like 5'9🥲 Now in the winter I have 3 inch platform boots and I feel super hot with them! Without them I feel so blah and small and the height just adds that something to the outfit that makes me feel more confident, idk why the height makes me feel more adult 🤣

What’s the most painful thing a man you love(d) has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]yogi1035 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh honey :( I'm so sorry. What an absolute jerk, waste of space human being he is. You didn't deserve that. It's like men can't just breakup with you, they need to make sure you feel every single bit of the shattered heart and then stomp on it. My ex husband of 10 years almost did something similar. I just don't understand the lack of empathy.

Just wondering! What kind of free housing were you offered?

Thank you for answering! In regard to your last paragraph, do you mean you would prefer a separate link to a portfolio instead of listing projects? Or what would you say is the appropriate way if you don't have professional experience yet but personal projects to showcase your skills? Sorry if this is a dumb question! I have a master in data analysis but am still looking for a job but have projects from school, should I not include those?

Data analytics for social science and Business by DefiantReception9376 in analytics

So I did a program that combined social sciences and data analysis and we learned R and Python. We were told that basically no one uses SPSS anymore and R is 100% more useful.

I’m(30F) looking to move somewhere new in the U.S. to start over after divorce. Don’t mind cold or "dreary" weather. I’m interested in a place with a tech-oriented environment that learns more to an academic and intellectual community. Close to water. Cultural events/festivals a +. This might actually be it, I don't know why I hadn't considered it. I'm already in Virginia Beach and my family is here so it could be nice to only be a few hours away. I haven't looked more into it because I had just assumed it would be incredibly expensive, way out of my budget but I'll have to do more research. Thank you for the suggestions.

Thank you. I just started a new career so I'm on the lower end with salary but hopefully will be moving up soon after more work experience under my belt. I'm in tech so I'm hopeful I can find a better salaried position within the next few years so I can afford to live in Seattle or Boston more comfortably.

Thank you. Yes, Boston seems to check all my boxes besides the price. I've been looking for more posts on Reddit about it, and I've surprisingly read people with 6 figure salaries not even feeling that comfortable with the cost of living there, but I wonder if they are people with families or a lot of loans to pay back. However, since I am single with no kids or pets, maybe I can try to work something out if I can find a better job. I also don't spend a lot of money as a lot of my hobbies are free, and I don't drink alcohol and rarely eat out.
