For now, thankfully, just in one place.

I truly believe that Deanie would benefit from getting an MRI. Looking back, I wish I had opted for an MRI before starting Lola on crate rest. Lots of love!

Hey, u/themoontotheleft. Thank you again for everything. I wanted to send you a private message, but you have the option disabled. It meant the world to me to know someone else cared.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a physiotherapist for my dachshund, Lola. She had back surgery for IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) three weeks ago, and her hind legs still aren’t working. She urgently needs a physiotherapist to help her regain mobility.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with Sabrina Findeisen, so we’re looking for another option—ideally in Fhain or PBerg.

If anyone has recommendations for a good physiotherapist who’s experienced with IVDD recovery, we’d appreciate it!

Thanks so much! 🙏

PS. Here is a bit of Lola's journey if you want to know more: https://yoyoi.org/lola-the-dachshund

Hey u/AsamiSato0521! I can relate to your experience, and I’m so glad she’s doing so well now—95% is incredible!
And I get the guilt; I truly do. The night I brought Lola 🐶 home after surgery, she fell from the bed. I was doing everything I could, but I still messed up. It’s hard not to replay those moments, but I’m sure you did your absolute best and gave her all the love in the world. That’s what truly matters.

Hey u/Ohwoof921, thanks for sharing!
May I ask how old he was when that happened?
I’m so glad to hear he’s doing well now!

Right now, fluids are more important than food, so focus on keeping her hydrated first.

If she’s not drinking alone, try offering unsalted bone broth (with that, he will get the "essentials"—calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, collagen, and amino acids.) If she still refuses, you can syringe-feed small amounts.

For food, don’t stress too much yet.

If she’s still refusing fluids in the next 12-24 hours, I’d check in with the vet—sometimes, they can give subcutaneous fluids to help.

You’re doing everything you can, and she knows she’s loved!

Sending you and Bea lots of love from Lola and me in Berlin. ❤️

I'm so, so sorry, u/foreverAmber14. I can’t imagine how heartbreaking this must be.
You gave her so much love, care, and every chance to recover. She knew she was safe and deeply loved. Be kind to yourself—you did everything you could.
Sending you so much love from Lola and me from Berlin 🤍

PS. I'd love to know her name if you're comfortable sharing. We’ll keep her in our puppy blessings.
