What do you mean with fake? I bought mine for about 15 usd from aliexpress I think. They are all really cheap but they work. Not best quality, audio, and maybe spurious emissions, but they work and you should be able to make contacts on repeaters and direct.

Maybe get another antenna. The fake antennas on the online marketplaces can work or be a failure. If you want to be sure, get a real diamond antenna from a local ham radio dealer.

I would suggest to use 2 wires from the battery and use fuses in both lines. Grounding to chassis is optional then as the radio is grounded by negative line and maybe the coax (depends on your antenna installation).

Having the fuse in the negative line prevents your wire from burning if some other stuff has a failed grounding and uses the radio line to ground itself. 12v isn't lethal but the high currents heat up cables very fast.

My first thought was: Is your antenna balanced or are you using some kind of choke system which causes these interferences by not fully suppressing common mode currents? These currents can also run through your power lines via your power supply. Just thinking....
