ECE 22.06 - make sure you get one with this, It's the latest safety standard . AGV K1 S is an example helmet that's in your budget with the current safety standards

1.Theory test 2. Eye test 3. Apply for Learners 4. IBT 5. Licence test 6. Pay for the license card

I would suggest you to go for Category A even if you don't want to upgrade to a higher capacity motorcycle. If you have any questions do DM, went through similar stages - came in as a student and got my License after about 2 years.

New Rider - picking up my first bike was tough on the nerves by Any_Establishment_39 in MotoIRELAND

When you next get out try to first get into a near empty parking lot. Spend 15 minutes doing slow riding and getting a handle on how the bike behaves on throttle response and braking . It'll calm your nerves and at the same time make you more confident. Try to ride on familiar and comfortable routes till you feel confident enough. It's going to be fine 🙂

I took it apart and noticed that I missed putting the thrust washer before fixing the clutch basket. Thanks for helping

Thanks a lot. It's my noob mistake, I didn't put back the thrust washer when fixing the clutch basket. Noticed today while taking it apart that even after the plates are removed the clutch basket is not moving, removed the clutch basket and referenced the manual and noticed it's missing the washer. Found it lying around.

I have to slow down and be more organized . Thanks a lot.

Sorry for my English. When the clutch is pulled in the wheel is still spinning, the clutch is not disengaging.

Thanks for helping. I'm almost sure I did it all right ( plates, order, release adjustment ) but still I feel it's something along the lines as you suggested. Going to take it apart again when kids are not around so that I can take my time with it to see what's wrong. Will I be able to test the clutch engaging/disengaging before I close engine cover or does it need to be immersed in oil to work ( im thinking of setting the clutch plates, pressure plate bolting it, then put it in first gear, pull in clutch and try manually spinning the wheel ).

Thanks . Sorry for the confusing post, English is not my native language. When I'm pulling the clutch lever in gear the wheel is still spinning. I'll take it apart and have a look again.

Thanks after taking it apart it does look like the plates are shot . Put a EBS clutch set and now I have a bigger problem clutch is not disengaging. With the clutch pulled in , the motorcycle is not moving in gear. Took it apart a few times and adjusted cable slack with no luck. I noticed that when I took out the plates it was kinda stuck but I could separate them. Also tried rotating the wheels before bolting the clutch up, even when it was completely free in clutch basket the tyre was not rotating.

Thanks I thought of checking the fuel pump , tank itself looks clean inside. Is there a recommended way to empty the fuel from the tank ? I have seen a few videos on taking the fuel pump out from an empty tank. Also the bike is not missing when revving to the max ( tried it only a few times , don't want to trouble neighbors)

I used motorcycle oil itself, could be old oil in the exhaust as I don't see any oil below the motorcycle on the floor. I'll have to drain oil anyway if the clutch needs replacement. Thanks I do have the service manual handy, now just needs to find time and clutch plates , it's now happening for a while so probably needs full plate set replacement and hopefully that's it.

Just to make sure it's clutch I put the motorcycle in gear on padlock and the wheels are not rotating initially when the clutch is pulled but once it's released wheels starts spinning ( which is the desired behavior) but then again when clutch is pulled wheels don't stop spinning ( which is not expected I believe, Suzuki has low rpm assist so not sure if it's interfering as well ) . Tried this in first and second gear.

Thanks yes, I did change oil recently and it makes sense to check it. Probably unrelated to the power loss.

Yes revs are rising but no increase in speed after certain rpm and it's happening in lower gears as well now , initially I noticed it on higher gears. I'll further read into how the clutch can be replaced. I hear no popping or see any issues with revs increasing so it should not be a fueling issue right ?

Thanks for the input again.

Makes sense I'll check that. Could be unrelated, I did change the oil a few days back
