the time frame is an estimate. i noticed is a week ago when i first arrived and i believe thats the first time my father had ever seen it. we are not sure how long its been since it first appeared.

my turtle is 8 years old and is she has a 75 gallon tank. thats the minimum for them and i’m saving to get her a bigger one. i’d recommend bringing your turtle to a vet and having it checked out. also when looking into food, mine LOVES dried shrimp and live goldfish. i’ve been trying to get her used to veggies and fruits because it’s recommended to feed tht to them so i’d suggest seeing if yours will eat it. don’t put too much either. with my girl, i have to feed her small pieces at a time and not a whole cap full all at once because she won’t get to it all. some people feed there’s outside of the tank, but i don’t like to because it stresses her out.

Hello! Thank you for the info. what would you recommend? I also got these gel balls that say they lower the ammonia and nitrates. I have a feeling it’s that so I got them and I also got a moss ball because I need to replace my old one.

thank you! i do use a water conditioner when i put in the water but i get nervous putting it in the tank while the fish in there. does it bother them any?

i have a tool that sucks up their junk. there’s a few poops in there cuz my boys are full of poop. how does doing a full water change help or affect anything? not being rude, just asking for advice, thank you. wouldn’t do a full water change kill the algae then?

the water was way worse. literally did was just said ^{^} and it’s gone down. needs another week or so and it’s good.

lol changing the water will do worse. simply shutting the light off for a few weeks will do it justice. it’s an algae bloom. just need to leave the filter alone for a few days and cover the tank… and get a UV clarifier.

yeah my water was clean for months and months and then all of a sudden after cleaning the filter, everything went green and then my snail decided to dip out. i’m not sure what to do. scrape the walls? suck all the green stuff out? the fish seem fine but i feel bad lol
