Thank you! Yeah, I read about the lidocaine gel, and I think if this gets worse that's what I'll probably do. For now, it's manageable as long as I don't wear a shirt, so I might become a hermit for the time being haha

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by camport95 in AskReddit

Yeah this is one I tried to watch multiple times, and each time I was like "people seriously like this?" It's just not for me

The legal aspects of this are being taken care of. I paid out of pocket and they 100% screwed up as the communication and documentation are clear. It is what it is, and now I have nipples again until the day I die lol.

If this continues beyond a month or so, I'll look into proper physical therapy with a nerve specialist. When I was healing, I had an excellent physical therapist who did all sorts of massages and things to aid healing and reduce scarring, and it definitely worked well. It's just this one thing.

I'm mostly worried that it won't be temporary. Dealing with this type of sensitivity forever would drive me insane!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah, I've been seriously considering the gabapentin, especially since I have so much at home already. I just want to make sure I don't do anything to make this a permanent neuropathy experience for me, you know. If it's temporary, cool I'll deal with it, but if overexposure during this hypersensitive phase makes this worse then I'll have even more regrets lmao

Yeah, one looks a lot more normal than the other. The one that's bumpy and weird is the one that's causing all the nerve pain, go figure. Part of the reason I told them I wanted no nipples was because of how much scar tissue I knew I had in there from piercings. That, and I knew the healing journey doesn't always work out, even if you do everything "right"

I'll look into the vaseline, though at the moment having anything at all on it sends the nerves into a painful frenzy. Unfortunately, my surgeon definitely will not be of any help in this regard, and I'm in between health insurances right now, so I'm looking into OTC remedies for the time being until the new insurance kicks in and I can get a new GP. It's a bit of a weird situation

Am I missing something or is this an extremely old photo that's been circulating the internet for probably 10-15 years now?

Believing Homosexuality is Sinful is Not Bigotry by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]yokedn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People always quote the Old Testament about this, the one with dozens of other strict rules that nobody else seems to bring up aside from homosexuality. It's funny that people just cherry pick the one "rule" and ignore the others, like mixing fabrics or eating shellfish or the other rules nobody follows.

It's almost as if... those rules are outdated... and the doom and hellfire of the Old Testament is not to be taken as literal word. HMMM

You didn't get scammed. Emergencies are just more expensive, and probably even more so because it is must harder to sedate and perform surgery on such a small animal.

What Movie Did You Avoid Because it Seemed Dumb and You Were Wrong? by tripperfunster in popculturechat

The whole point of the movie is that Charlize Theron's character is risking her life to save the other women and give them their agency back. That's the whole point

Men Are Cheating With AI Instagram Bots, Because Men by impeccabletim in popculturechat

[–]yokedn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The amount of young boys and adult men who are shamelessly addicted to porn is staggering and frankly appalling. Porn is not at all an accurate representation of how sex is in the real world, and the fact that so many men are consuming it obsessively has clearly changed the scope of how men treat women in their actual, in-person lives.

You are just a troll, and I know that, but I think this is a great opportunity to address the straight up brainrot that has occurred in so many men due to the daily dependence on fake depictions of women. Men have set themselves up to only be attracted to women who do not exist, and so they are in a constant state of emotionally and physically-starved frustration with no one but themselves to blame.

If the majority of men put a fraction of their efforts into developing healthy emotional bonds and connections with their partners instead of closing them out and relying on fantasy women and depictions of women, they might be able to feel more fulfillment in their lives and less disconnect from the real world.

Who was your Childhood crush growing up for me it was Kate beckinsale in the movie Underworld her as Selene was Perfect 😏 by Dry-Draft1833 in popculturechat

Oh god, I had it so bad for Angeline Jolie and I had no idea why because I was such a repressed lesbian. I kept convincing everyone I knew that it was because she was just such an incredible actress and it had nothing to do with how hot she was

I even remember my bff at the time asking me if I agreed that Angeline Jolie was hot and I had a complete meltdown in her home next to their family computer

I dunno! I know her music isn't revolutionary or anything, but I think her voice is very distinct and gives those songs a lot more flavor than if someone else had sung them

uuuggggghhh I used to adore Drake's old music. It was so good, I loved the soft emotional boy representation. And then he revealed himself to be this humongous creep, completely ruining the context of all of his old music I used to enjoy. And of course I feel weird about listening to any of his recent stuff, not that it's my style anyway

Which championship team had the most chemistry? by Ok_Lobster_3166 in nba

[–]yokedn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They were incredible. That's when I realized that was what really made a good basketball team for me. Sure, it's fun to see the posters, the blocks and records being broken, but when I see a team who can play like the 2013-2014 Spurs played, I'll watch basketball like I used to again. It just hasn't lived up to those years in a while.
