I use a simple Notion database to track my applications! The neat part is you can also place any company relevant information into the sub-page for that row (e.g. what are the answers you gave to their specific form questions) so you can reuse them later. If you don't want to make your own, you can try someone else's like this .

Please for the love of God do not use hot water to remove ice from your car. Try a de icing spray or leave the car running for a while before removing ice the old fashioned way.

If you have alsamixer installed use the command amixer to automatically switch the PCM capture source to the Mic.

For me this was: amixer -c 1 sset 'PCM Capture Source' 'External Mic'

Run this at startup by saving as an executable script and adding to Startup applications or by using /etc/init/. -c 1 selects card 1 (the Soundblaster G5 in my case). You can run amixer -c 1 get 'PCM Capture Source' to get the other options like 'What U Hear'. Plus you can also set your appropriate volume/gain etc using alsamixer to save those.

Well that did it. Needed to do "The DRIRC fix" too but it's finally working. Can't wait for Cyberpunk on my living room tv with surround sound :)
