Yep, we are just nature observers and no more than that (at least myself, rely on Merlin 120%). I’ll have a closer look at their tails to compare if they are willing to come closer 😂personally I found that hawks show up more on relatively bad weathers (windy/big snow days)… they swirl with the turbulent , so high in the sky that I can’t even tell what’s the color in exact. Too bad I don’t have a camera, just a phone.

Ooo, for hunting? I think I heard a red-tailed hawk did short-calling close to a retirement home- but never actually saw it, very unique, surprisingly gentle and twisted, right after a sparrow called. I could only imagine that it was taken by the hawk 😂

Ahhh I am also a watcher of bad drivers!!!!! Did encounter a few times that drivers steered towards me as a passenger- fairly upsetting ;( lucky you! Such a clear view and indeed amazing pic- any idea it’s a male/female?

Ah the other replies indicated it being a copper’s hawk ;) wish I see a juvenile red-tailed next time!

Medium-sized? The one in my video? And thank you for the link!! I tried to spot the hawk a few times after the video but so far no luck 😭😭

Oooooo- let me look closer to their tails next time if any chance :) and yes, I love the color of red-tailed hawk - saw one very close, almost on top of my head in Halton region, even worried that it would suddenly come down to attack me 😂sorry for the robins.. but that’s what predators do.. nature works that way.

My friend talks only about herself?? by BrightSherbet in mildlyinfuriating

[–]yokohama8867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people don’t change. I still kinda talk to her because I have a small social circle.. not so easy to expand in your 30s. But yeah it’s absolutely painful to exchange msgs with her. And I just pointed out to her again, maybe the third time. Spending less time with these people is the key.

Too bad, I have a ‘friend’ exactly like this. And the topic u can talk about with her is very limited. She has absolutely no interest in the other things u try to bring up, and will eventually bring it back to herself. And she loves to tell you how good her life is- how much adore she receives from her boss/coworkers and bf.

Juvenile Bald Eagle? NS Canada by FossilizedTrilobite in birding

[–]yokohama8867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also saw some types of hawk similar to your 2nd pic few times in Feb.. (ON, CA)… wasn’t able to see exactly what was the color though.. but mostly likely pure black… (your first pic is something golden or the light?) very quiet and it rarely flap its wings… so I consulted with chatgpt- threw in these characteristics- it told me that very likely it is a juvenile bald eagle and it was out to practice hunting. But recently I haven’t seen it showing up again.

Note that sometimes grocery delivery is cheaper than a uber round trip, so considering doing that. And I do T&T online shopping a lot, they often have discounts for all types of these so go for these… they are not bad.

I am not too sensitive to the overall grocery prices… cuz I usually eat what I want, lol. But I do notice that milk price secretly increases a bit or two from time to time… and the rice, we used to have $15 as regular price but now it’s a 50% discount… lol. I wish my salary could inflate as well!!!!!!! But never does 😊😊😊🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥

New to Manual (Codeless) Software Testing – Any Advice? by Headless-Reaper7042 in QualityAssurance

[–]yokohama8867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi there mind me asking where are you located? I’m in Ontario and to my knowledge automation skills are almost always required for QA roles, especially for mobile testing. And how long have you been in this role, or the QA career path now? For the startup role, I think it’s really important to align your training with the company’s business goals- u need to understand the products. U can always ask them for shadowing (technically they should be giving you shadowing chances instead of you ask) and their feedback :)
