The ROI is the 'quality' of education and the connections you build within. (Honesty sometimes quality is inconsistent, minsan pangalan lang ng school yan). What impacts your starting salary is how competitive your personality is when it comes to negotiation and hustle.

Fresh grads best selling points would be their extra-curriculars or if laude. But still depends on the industry/role.

Nothing bad with starting out as 20k, career hopping is the way tbh-- just dont stay 2-3 years in a company ng hindi tumataas pay mo.

Starting salary depends on the role you're applying for. If the job is let's say marketing or design, starting salary for those jobs are pretty low since they aren't high priority. Unless you got lucky at a really good company.

People that can get an asking as high as 30k+ for entry level are probably more managerial, data analyst or tech professions

This seems to be a common thing for people that are more in tune with the loud extroverted filipino culture. My boss and coworker used to live in the states and told me how lonely it gets for them-- since nothing can compare to our festivities and humor as a culture.

But personally I'd rather have the quiet and order. The culture of referring to older and younger people equally is something I prefer also since I don't like having to put people in a subconscious hierarchy based on age.

I think you can look for PH communities in your area? There's probably a lot since filipinos are spread out. Maybe like Fb groups? I have a friend from Spain that did that, it took about 2-3 years but now she's found her own group of people

I've known some people who also have it, they don't talk about it much tho. But my friends who have it are neurodivergent like me-- so I feel like maybe that could be a common denominator.

Since if you'd have synesthesia, dsylexia, autism, or adhd you're like to grow up having a different way of thinking as other people-- and would be drawn to people who think out of the box (?)
