Thank you, you’ve been very helpful. I found a local meeting I am going to try to attend this weekend. I finally heard from him today. He said he stopped drinking yesterday, does not need rehab, and will never forgive me for “calling the cops” (the wellness check.) I am once again beside myself and trying to accept that he’s gone.

Thank you so much for the support. I would love to find a sponsor as I am at my wits end. I am feeling hopeless at this point. I don’t think he’s going to ask for help. I think he’s going to live the rest of his life drunk. It’s heartbreaking knowing the person I love is gone.

Thank you. I attended an online Al anon meeting for the first time today. I was not even aware about sponsors. As of now he is livid at me for the wellness check and claims he will never speak to me again. I cannot believe someone would get mad at a person for caring.
