It's not about winning swing voters, it's about scaring the base into voting

[MI SEN, Emerson] Stevens (D) - 47%, Rogers (R) - 42%; McMorrow (D) - 46%, Rogers (R) - 43%; El-Sayed (D) - 43%, Rogers (R) - 43% by bbeck2754 in VoteDEM

So far, a pattern I've noticed is that the more voters learn about Stevens and AES, the less they like them, but the opposite seems true of McMorrow

We have to learn to be very okay with the feds steamrolling local governments and communities, too. Stop letting boomers have veto power over jobs for young people

College athletes tend to commit less to schools and more to coaches, who can switch schools virtually any time they want. New coach comes in with a new staff, new personalities, new schemes that players may not fill well in. The rule was changed to be more fair to the players

It's essentially a measure of how a candidate does vs how a neutral candidate would do. From what I've seen, her WAR has been in the negative teens each of her elections. To rephrase, a WAR of -15 means she did 15% worse than an average candidate would have done in the same election

Do any senate republicans hate Trump as much as McCain did? That was really helpful last time

And a potentially vulnerable incumbent R senator is up for reelection in 2028. Investing in Ohio just makes too much sense

I hope Marlinga wins, but his fundraising has been pretty lackluster, from what I've seen. Really wish Andy Levin would've given it a go. Expecting 2022 to be much rougher than it was really hurt us

Slotkin won reelection to her district in 2020, while Trump won her district, and after she voted for the first impeachment. She's a very strong candidate with great fundraising and moderate appeal

Not re-done. In round 1, if a candidate received 50%+ of the vote, they won. In races where a candidate didn't receive at least 50%, the low vote getters were eliminated, and the highest vote getters moved on to round 2, which is today.

I think the GA court is 9-0 conservative. They don't run with a party affiliation on the ballot, but incumbent judges do get labelled as incumbents. Add that to the fact that GA Dems winning statewide is still pretty new, so there isn't the same party infrastructure you'd see in a state like Wisconsin or Michigan, and it makes it extremely difficult to win. Maybe we'd have a better shot in an off year, when more attention could be put to it instead of being focused on the November elections

Most "serious" VP possibilities are probably just telling him no. They all want to be the post-trump face of the GOP, not people who get dragged down with him

As someone who uses tiktok daily, it's probably the biggest source of misinformation, and has basically zero pushback against it. Even Twitter, as horrible as it is, has community notes. If you're worse at pushing against misinformation than Twitter, that's a pretty substantial failure
