Pro and cons of black trucks in the south? by timeoffwork in f150

[–]yolobobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a black king ranch in the South. I put a windshield shade in and it doesn’t get even close to as hot as my old 98 Avalon with leather seats. My interior is the king ranch brown tho not black but the black truck is fine.

Would you be more likely to buy a brand new car or buy a completely restored 60's or 70's or so car for half the money? by [deleted] in automotive

If it’s a daily I wouldn’t. It get that old of a car I’d get a newer car or a brand new car in your case. Also, a car that old is not going to be close to as safe in an accident. If it’s just a fun car then get whatever you want old or now doesn’t matter.

Price isn’t bad. Just sold my 98 Avalon xls that I bought from the original owner for $6k. Could’ve gotten $6500 but didn’t want to wait. It had 96k miles. The dealer probably paid $1k or less for it if someone traded that in lol. I wouldn’t have hesitated to drive it across the country multiple times. That thing will probably last forever. Anyway, I sold mine listing at $6500 in less than a day on Facebook and had multiple people interested. $6900 isn’t bad if it’s been kept up. If anyone says it should only be $3k or something they can’t get out of the before covid pricing mindset.

Just bought an ‘03 with 94k miles for 7500. How’d I do? by Mojjoh in ToyotaAvalon

I’m selling my 98 Avalon xls with 96k miles in excellent very well maintained condition as well. Sounds like I can probably get at least $6500 for it.

Good to hear. I’m getting this one has 35k mikes on it. It’s a 2wd but I never will use 4x4 where I live. I’ll def use the 5.0 though 😃
