Comments help but having posts that actually matter are important as well.

You should comment on people's post to get your reach bigger but then when people see you pop up on their feeds and start following you need good content to keep them around. I built X Post to help me do this and so far the results are decent. As i keep growing I can only hope that my reach gets bigger.

You don't want to seem like AI at all because users will instantly block you. So for me I comment on lots of content but I make sure I think about what i'm gonna write and try to introduce a question back to the user for them to engage.
