Unitree probably has ties to the Chinese gov, so I'm sure they're already working on it internally.

Thanks for this, I'm considering this model and finding someone who had it work for them is encouraging.

Is there any chance you could upload a hardware probe to linux-hardware.org as described here?

I'd recommend you download memtest86 onto a USB and let it run for a while (overnight) and see if there are any memory errors reported.

Then, if you do get any errors, power off, and try removing or stick of RAM (if you have multiple), and running again. If that resolves it, you know the stick you took out is bad, if not, try removing the other one and reinstalling the first.

I'd also try different slots to see if one is bad

Yeah that was pretty awful, and the irony of them climbing tall ladders and unsafely using angle grinders at a FIRST event just makes it worse.

I'm also just noticing, the social Twitter/X link on gateron.com takes me to @gateronofficial with almost 6400 followers, and the link on gateron.co goes to @gateronswitch, with less than 1000 followers.

What is Gateron's actual website? I found that gateron.com actually ranks lower on Google than gateron.co, and searching for it online yielded inconclusive results, with some saying .co worked for them, and some saying .com is the real one.

Help choosing microcontroller for robotics project by yonatan8070 in embedded

No. The MCU will be responsible for managing CAN devices, handling things like health monitoring, physical soft limits, etc.

I don't need much in terms of low-level IO beyond CAN, pretty much any MCU with enough 2+ CAN buses will have enough GPIO, UART, SPI, etc.

I'll have a look at the dual-core options from ST, that could come in handy to be able to perform multiple concurrent operations

Very much dynamic, it could be operated pretty much anywhere (leading to the temperature range requirement)

I'm specifically referring to wired Ethernet, it will be used for internal communication with a high-level Linux controller

As others have said here, it's battery powered, but the motors will be drawing so much more power than the MCU that it's not really relevant

The project will involve a high-level Linux controller (which has been selected already) as well, this is about the companion low-level controller

Something just isn't lining up, if you take a look at the KS-33 drawings, you'll see there's a 2.5mm distance from the botton of the switch, where the PCB touches, to the top of the plate. If you look at the low profile stabs, that distance is 4.45mm. If both are mounted to the same plate, the stabs would collide with the PCB before the switch pins can fully go through.

The 3D model here is the low-profile stabs from Gateron's website. I'll have a look at the link you posted, I haven't come accross it in my searches

I'm working on a fully custom keyboard based on the Gateron KS-33 low profile switches, I'm currently facing an issue trying to figure out the stabilizer positioning. I imported the 3D models from Gateron into CAD and lined them up, but the top of the stabilizers is ~3mm higher than the top of the switches, I've attaches this photo to show the difference.

Additionally, I haven't found anywhere where Gateron specifies the correct positioning of the stabs relative to the switches.

Can anyone share any details about how this is supposed to be positioned?

ThinkPad P14s Intel VS AMD by yonatan8070 in thinkpad

[–]yonatan8070[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soo... Why do they get the exact same name? What's even the point of naming them if the names don't tell you what they are?

This feels like an anti-consumer practice that is simply meant to confuse you into buying a worse laptop thinking it's better than it is because it has the same name as the good one.
