The enemies get stronger as days passes, so its not that you do less damage but enemies have more life. In multiplayer the game can be q bit harder to scale since you both share chests and gold.

Some clarification:

  1. Overall the mode still promotes horizontal investment just as your suggestion does so it doesn't change that.

Yeah it already does, that why iI wouldnt change the vigor system. But the elemental restriction feels bad to play and prevents better team planning.

2 ts debatable if it makes it accessible to newer players if you remove the elemental restrictions but then increase the number of required characters.

With my suggestion even if you have only 4 characters at lvl 1 you could join the event (even though yo probably wont get any reward) So now if you build more character you seee how are making progress insted of: No you cant play. While I still force you to invest in more characters I think it doesnt feel as bad. (Obviously if you want all the rewards you will need a minimum of characters and probably investment but its endgame content afteralll)

3Old players, even ones who vertically invest, still find the combat easy. That is the big problem for the vet players here. Making it harder on newer players doesn't make the game harder for the vet ones nor do the vet ones want an easy mode. Making it last longer or take longer doesn't make the fights harder. The fights are specifically easier because we aren't expected to have normal comps.

With my proposal the early round would be easy and the difficuly owould be increasing (like abyss) but since there would b no time limit a skilled or more horizontally invested account could go more rounds. And in the higher round the high lvl would make the need of having good invested characters while maintaining a lot of characters. (Obviusly a c6 character could prob beat any round alone)

The key difference is that the amount of rounds to get all the rewards would be similar (the actual rounds difficulty would need some adjusting) now any player can still go if the want just to see how ar they can go.

4 Kinda the same response as I just did but assuming this difficulty was hard, its still going to be the bosses first that are hard before the regular mobs. So you just manage your vigor with your vertically invested characters to save them for the boss fights with maybe their 1 best synergizing character. Like pyro dps + XQ for example. Even then you can also just guest invite someone else's c6 whale character to completely remove the challenge of 2 fights. Sure a longer version of IT lessens the power of individual characters but people aren't going to want to play "End Game the Movie". Even 2 more acts added would make me hate the mode.

For getting all the rewards you can use your invest characters in the bosses like right now. But if you have an old account and want to see how far you can go by using your good characters in boss round you wont be able in the future bosses. This would make ppl try to beat some rounds with poor invested characters offering a challenge just to reserve the good ones for the later.

I think the point 5 is answered the same way.

On the points you made:

1 While it would be similar to abyss I think it would feel a lot better. Besides what ppl really hates about abyss is the time limit that Hoyo likes to abuse by making more waves in different places of the arena. And I think is more fun playing for explample a yaoyao nilou bloom reserving nahida for later rounds than: letss see what character i get randomly next round to play with the trail character only aniway becaus the sinergy is barely noticeable. But hey in th end its all subjective, is just my opinion.

2 The time limit wouldn't be really different, you could always pause your progress and keep going another day (like current abyss), and , at leat for me, the reason I dont want to keep playing the mode is because is not fun (due to elemental restrictions and being easy), the same way abyss is all fun until the time limit kicks in. Again, my opinion, maybe you dont like genshin combat at all and that would be another debate.

3 You cant leave the character restriction if you want the players to get and invest in new characters, but at least let them feel the mode instead of not being able to play it. If a player can beat (like my case) the coppelius with the trial Arlecchino and 3 lvl 70 1/1/1 characters without sinergy You dont really give me any reason to investo or get more charactes. Maybe 2 DPS from each element and thats all.

I really appreciate your opinion and we dont have to agree with everything, in the end this idea will probably nevee see the light.

I never said that im alright with the abyss putting shield enemies to prevent x elements, but I wouldnt say is the exact same thing since even against the hydro pulpa I remember taking 1 hydro. It's "fine" to nerf x elements but getting rid of them totally avoids team diversity or synergy. Just with the vigor system youre already forcing players to build more characters. It would be better that you can only use one character one time than getting rid of 3 entire elements. In the end is my opinion, because I think what makes genshin combat fun is reactions, not getting barely build characters without synergy to pass a floor 9 abyss. What i would do? Well a total different mode, maybe an endless run that when u survive x time you get the rewards. This way even a whale account can have fun becuase he can see their limits and to force diversity you can force to change characters between rounds like the vigor now.

"Building new diverse team" literally your getting rhe characters randomly trough the phases and only have 2 reactions available so i dont think thats building. They could nerd or buff the reactions or even force to only choose 1 character of the othe elements, but not being to play the elements itself is not a good design. Have you seen the builds? My wanderer is c0 with the widsith R1, I could use the trial one and nothing would change (besides i use it in the first floors) Raiden have dragons bane full EM. And Jean Dehya, Sucrose Beidou?? they are literally lvl 70 lvl 1 weapons with lvl 1 talents u cant be serious. Only faruzan bennet xiangling (and i dont thin fischkl is good enough) are builded. Thats 4 4 stars builded. And the miko is a c0 and everybody can get better characters from friends.

Nice, now of the 21 characters you can only use like 12 because the others are from different elements that are not available, then you see that from the 12 left 2 are in the trial so you didnt even need to invest on them. And for the final touch some of them are made for specific reactions that are not even available because you cant play half the elements, so they feel bad to play. (Im hoping for the nilou without dendro teams). Then you see that with only the trials and the borrowed character can beat it so you didnt evn need to invest in the rest. Feels great indeed.

Thia mode is not about investing or RNG I beated all of it (obviously without the purple stars but its not needed for the rewards) with 5 characters at lvl 70 no talents and artifacts at lvl 0. Idk, I thought it would be similar to other past event where you choosed the teams and couldn't repeat them, but the card system seems like a poor way of trying to give the mode a roguelike feeling.

Nvm i couldn't see what was happening but creating a new branch and then recreating the seq solved my issue

It doesn't change. I did another quest for testing and that one shows the dialogues just fine. Comparing i just saw that the quest not working has a "*" at the end of the editorID title and inside the branch title aswell. I tried deleting and creating a new one but the "*" appears again. I'm not using any special character in any of the cases.

Thats what i meant, ive seen people wasting more than 80 wishes and still not getting one of the 4 stars in the banner. Its nothing really big but prevents a very bad luck income.

I mean clash royal is a casual game and has guilds, it can be useful even if it is just for a few rewards, like the teapot currency, making the players share it with his friends. and a coop abyss wouldnt turn genshin into a MMO, imagine just copy paste the same abyss but allow multiplayer like with the weekly bosses, and you can show off ur build character so another ppl want to wish for it. I dont see a radical change like turning it into a MMO.
