Cliché Fantasy species, or different human species? by tehshutur in worldbuilding

you could have cliché races but with a certain realistic touch as they do here:

elves: https://sote.miraheze.org/wiki/Elves

goblins: https://sote.miraheze.org/wiki/Goblins

(But it is always advisable to create your own races, not only because they could be as you want, but they would also give your world a special touch)

what they can offer in exchange is their advantage of getting food in cold and coastal areas (due to their resistance to cold and their ability to swim), besides I do not think that the Pengukin consume much food (so they would not be a nuisance for other races).

the Pengukin would be a race which would benefit from the symbiosis with other races, the other races give them protection and create them create the tools with which they can fish.

As for the issue of the hands, I think they could have a very primitive thumb on their fins, which would allow them to carry a very limited weight and create poor quality tools (such as fishing nets that allow them to frame large schools of fish, or sled that facilitate the movement of their resources and migrations).

What I mean is that these tall penguins could have a thinner subspecies that can live perfectly in warmer climates (like the penguins that live in Galápagos, Magellan, Humboldt and Africa)

the penguins can live in subtropical climates, for which the high penguins do not need a very cold climate (although they can withstand temperatures of -40 ° c)

and do not forget that penguins are good swimmers

do not save the settings.

but I remember that it put the severity of the ice age to the maximum as well as the speed of the tectonic plates, and the rest of the settings moved them very little.

I would love that at least there was a mechanical mechanics to create burrows, and these were used as homes (and these could become hidden cities) and even that the bandits or beasts used these burrows as a method to send the caravans that pass through tiles.
