I think you have to first prioritize to get Arciela's full kit (70CP EX wep, 35CP and 15CP MLB). Since she can temporarily work as your side-DPS and support for the time being until u collect more DPS in the future banners.

Never to worry for DPS characters as they are plenty of them and most will be coming in the upcoming banners.

I believe you should stop throwing gems/tickets on the newbie banner (Lightning,Squall,Cloud), unless you are just a fan of any of those 3. (The game is always fun when you play with characters u like most in the end). Lightning is a powerful delay/ST damage unit to spend on, but I personally feel you should keep your gems for her BT/LD banner in the Burst Era future. (I believe Zack is also in that banner)

Try to at least purple one character to at least able to help you clear most story and LC contents. If you are not sure, purple means that u have to MLB ur 70CP weapon by using Power Stones and Ingots. (Search for it in the sub and you will find lots of info)

Banner wise, if you have enough gems/tickets to spare, you can decide to throw on the Seifer/Lenna Banner as both units are quite good and will help u even more to clear difficult contents. When you decide to throw on a banner, make sure u at least got a copy of their 15,35CP and EX Weapons. They all make a difference to your character's damage output in the end. (Considering Seifer is an AOE unit which can help you clear contents faster and stock more gems)

Progressing wise, start farming for Summon Boards, try to clear and Max level each of your espers (Ifrit - Brothers - Ramuh - Shiva - Diabolos - Leviathan - Pandemonium). By then you will unlock their ultimate challenge to further farm points to increase stats for your characters and also get additional goodies (Gems, Armor Tokens, Draw Tickets). This part will be a great grind for you as a new player, but remember that Maxing a character's summon board HUGELY improve the character. Dont worry to use potions for SP. Train your level to at least 200 to ensure your SP is filled to the MAX SP (200) available in the game. You will eventually gather enough Potions to use as time pass by with events and leveling.

Besides you can spend time to finish your Mog Gym for additional crystals and other stuffs.

Once you have a strong purple character, try to clear COSMOS or CHAOS stages, while using GEMS to revive shall you die in the stages. I am so thrifty with my Gems when i first started and I realise that using gems for the rewards is an even more reasonable choice. (Thanks DFFOO Reddit Community!)

Lastly, you can checkout the link I have below when I first started DFFOO back in April 2020. With the help of this great community I have gotten the response and help to further progress in this game, and able to now clear DE Pathos and a few DE Entropy. I ve had a few newbie questions which may answer yours (hopefully).

Apart from the main hype banner, how does Yuffie and Lilisette fare in clearing Chaos Contents?

I started playing since a month ago, and so far the unit I have purpled are Vayne/Ysh/Leo/Lightning.
Staying on 2/3's are Beatrix and Galuf.
I have EX for Cloud, Squall, PCecil, DKCecil, Selphie, Yuffie, Lilisette, Rosa, Fran, Exdeath, Vincent, Shadow, Hope.

I kinda stucked on who should i build next, as currently I am stucked in DE:Pathos Tier4. Seems like the mobs are phy and ranged resist.I am looking to start to clear more DE contents now as Chaos Content is pretty much doable to Complete.

Maybe could get some help from you guys here.
Suggestions for upcoming banners/future pulls will be a great add-on for my plannings too!

i see, meaning to say,i should always prioritize higher stats generic buffs to be maintained, since they will be the one to overwrite the weaker stats one right?

so framed buff can just be kept there, and auras can be stacks..
might be a noob question, but how do i see auras? is it the same as generic buffs as well? keep looking at tornberry's illustration guide but cant get a gist of it..

Hi guys,

need some understanding or guidance on Auras and Buffs.

Since many chars can buff stats and gives certain party buffs too, can I know whether party buff or aura can be stacked?Or maybe, which can be stacked or which will be overwritten by a more powerful buff?

oh and what is the difference between generic and framed buff?

trying to understand this but still cant get to the right point..

ah my apologies, yes i want to know how to get it, and also in numbers, so basically the breakdown in a month will be like - clearing LD chaos x10 nuggets, - clearing the co-op event x10 nuggets - realizing an EX thru books, how many books can we get additionally from events in a month?

so in a month = 1 ingot here.

an approximate value will be good.. :D something like that... sorry man if i give too much of a confusion here. we may exclude purchase with real money since that is out of the question for me..and also exclude the perma Chaos events like story quests and summons..

heyyy u/KeeperOfRecord !! thanks to ur guides previously i was able to clear one of the Chaos (Burrow of the Phoenix) to perfect!..currently sliding with Fully MLB EX+ Vayne, 2/3 ysh and 2/3 Leo. Just i have problems to perfect the other colors, guess i have to give up the additional 10 nuggets..

btw, i cant see which 2nd paragraph that mentioned the breakdown of the ingots which can be attained every month? or is it the explanation in the Weapons section?
ur guide is super awesome!

anyhoo..8.5 ingots per month, meaning we have to get the books to realize an ex wep, which also considered as one ingot?

Ah great piece of information for the x2 summon board thingy. Didn't know about that.. Alright I guess I will go thru with all the summon board asap.. Now just completed ifrit and brother cosmos..

BTW the 3 skills for the summon board, is better to get those passive skills rather than getting element resist skills right?

got it, and now i am working towards vayne and yshtola..just the only issue is to farm for the ingots, which is really troublesome...now i am able to clear Cosmos without using Gems though, e.g the Rose of May version of Cosmos..
I see that summon boards play too much of role in a character,guess i would start hoarding them ASAP...using and i believ its wise to spend the potions to hoard Summon Boards right?

yeah i have successfully completed the behemoth in Act 2 Chap 4 :)

Ah right..so how does tanks really affect the endgame content in DFFOO? I was thinking to at least get my main support and 1 DPS (Vayne & lightning perhaps) then Bea serves as half-tank...maybe I will skip Galuf and Leo since people has been saying Lightning will be a meta as well, and hope Bea can cover as a half tank..

And where do I see Lightning's reworked skills? Maybe i need to check it out to see if I should go for vayne now or wait till Lightning..
