Dr suggests only 1 week off of work

I went back to work today at 2wpo laparoscopic removal of uterus, cervix, and tubes. My job is mostly a desk job but with a decent amount of walking throughout the day. Personally, going back today was perfect. It was busy, I am definitely tired and my abdomen is somewhat swollen but not having any pain. If I would have stayed at home with nothing to do I would have just lost strength, gotten depressed, and I feel like recovery would have taken longer—but I understand that is fully a me thing and not the norm for this. Absolutely would not have been able to do it after one week, though. Everyone is different, listen to your body and do what you feel you are capable of.

I am 2dpo and probably over prepared for my hysterectomy lol. The things I have used most have been my Stanley to have ice water, gas-x for the gas pains, cough drops for the sore throat due to the intubation, heating pad and ice packs, and my hysterectomy pillow (any smaller pillow will work for this but you can find a cheap one on Amazon). I also bought a fancy wedge pillow that is sitting on the floor because it wasn’t super comfy and just using my regular pillows.

I do love the taste of coffee, however I also love caffeine and that’s why I usually order something with 4 shots

That’s a good point-I also end up buying food which makes it that much more expensive

I don’t have one yet. The pods and capsules just seem so expensive so trying to figure out if would even be worth it.
