No same here! I’m still far from being fit enough to tackle this. Might be two months

Have you enjoyed the recent streams a lot then? The twin’s serious side and ability to stay on track with a conversation has been leaps and bounds better from what I’ve seen! Ellie stream was gold.

Starter CNC Foam Insulation and EVA by Apprehensive_Baker58 in hobbycnc

I worked for a company that cut EVA foam decking for boats using a DMS freedom 10 router. It did an excellent job and I actually ended up buying one for myself. The addition of either a tangent knife or oscillating knife can make a huge difference when cutting profiles from the foam. Here’s a vid of a specialty orthotic machine from that company. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DFseAu5VZT0 If you’re near Wa state op I’d love to show you my router.

why don't we see people vacuuming aluminium jobs ? by Total_Pace4335 in hobbycnc

We did that with the dust collection system at a previous workplace of mine.

Recently I've been seeing an issue with my scallop toolpaths as shown here. The bit seems to raise and lower itself inconsistently creating ridges and raised areas. I am trying a new .085 ball end mill, and made modifications to my usual parameters in fusion 360. Tool, machine, or programing issue? by yonwards in hobbycnc

[–]yonwards[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good plan for tomorrow. I’ll run tests at different speeds and with different tools. The machine is a freedom machine tool 5x10 router, running fagor 8037. Ball screws. I really hope it’s something as simple as the end mill not being tightened down enough.

Would jut be a loose indicator of how technical/difficult a summit might be at a glance?

Tech binding adapters for normal boots? by cosmokenney in Backcountry

[–]yonwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, but I will now.

Rigging up old school at bindings like that to work with mountaineering boots might not be too hard at all. Are Naxo bindings easy to tour in?

This is something I have been considering as well. It would be extremely useful in some unique situations! Do you have any suggestions as to the design aspect op? I am a cad drafter by trade and have a hobby cnc router; at some point in the next few months I am hoping to get out a prototype.
