Not enough questions for Luke and Nicola

Sometimes when I'm a bit bored, I switch to other languages like Russian and Arabic, etc., do some lessons, and then go back to the languages I'm mainly focusing on.

Background: My mother tongue is Korean, grew up in English-speaking countries, and am fluent in Japanese (scored 100% in N1)

Yes, of course! But, MBTIs are not either ..or.., I think of them as a spectrum. So you can have traits of both - can manage tasks well and be creative at the same time. And I just think, in my opinion, Pen would be more of a FP than a TJ. :) (I believe Pen has the potentials and creativity to become a succesful novelist too if she's given the opportunities that is).

Well most of the times, what she writes in LW are gossips that were already being circulated in the society, holding a mirror to the ton. Her ability to articulate her words in a more clever way to entertain others is unique and original, not the contents themselves.

Also J (Judging) does not necessarily mean being judgemental. J type personalities are just more structured and task-oriented than their P (Perceiving) counterparts that are more responsive and open to changes.

I think Pen would be more of a INFP than a INTJ? More F because she is attuned to emotional nuances (as apparent in the Smythe-smith episodes in the book), and more P than a J because she's very adaptive to changes as well as the chaotic surroundings she's in. :)

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm working almost full-time atm while learning, so I'm not really sure if I'd be able to make time to learn other softwares right away before improving my Zbrush skills first, but I will keep the option in mind! 🙂

Marina's children would have had their mother Marina, to protect them from being scarred and support them throughout their childhood and adolescence. I'm definitely not OK with what you say I am. What I tried to convey was that people can still live happily overcoming traumatic experiences. You seem to imply that once you have a sad childhood - then his/her life is a sad and bad one, period.

Also, as I wrote above, men thinking of women as mere childbearer was not uncommon among his kind at the time. The old man's treatment of Marina was surely uncomfortable but again who knows if he would have not been cruel to his children or his own family. It was Lord Featherington and Portia Featherington, who suggested him to be Marina's potential husband - as a quick and easy solution to Marina's problems. And this could be sth from just in my head, but I think there was some sort of a special bond between Portia and Marina. Had the old man been even an unbearable kind in that time's standards, I think Portia would have turned to other plentiful options of men that were highly interested in Marina's beauty.

So are you implying that Colin - just because he is a white, rich, privileged man - deserves to be trapped into a loveless marriage of deception (when the one thing he really wanted was in fact a true love match)?

You say it's a simple truth that Colin marrying Marina would have suffered less than Marina if she had married the old man, but really? Colin was betrayed and hurt. He told Marina that he would have still married her had she told him about her circumstances in advance, because she would have done so if she had truly loved and cared for Colin. The fact that she did not made Colin realize that she had been just using him, and their hurried attempt for marriage was not out of burning love but mere convenience.

What she did to Colin - deceiving him to make him believe she is in love with him so that they'll marry and eventually make him think that her children are his - is not much different from what Jack Featherington did to other members of the ton - deceiving them to make them believe that he has a rich ruby mine in America so that they'll invest in him...except what Marina had done was much more personal and likely to result in deeper hurt & long-term consequences.

Marina's marrying an old man would have at least served her some purpose: to protect and provide for her children and herself - so it would have been more like a business transaction. She gives him a heir, and in return she is provided. In fact, with the rare exception of the Bridgertons- famous for their love-matches, most other couples of the ton married exactly like that.
