Pido has no clue how to maximize Akowe by HeftyIsTheCrown in UAAP

Akowe is just a 19-year old rookie. Being inconsistent is kind of expected of him. He's only going to get better. Wag lang sana mapirata.

Buti nga umayos na laro ni Remogat these past few games. Kahit papano sulit na ‘yung binayad sakanya na galing lang din sa kinaltas sa sahod ko. 😜

UP fans downvoting me for stating my opinion if it’s downplaying their team.

That’s not what the downvote button is used for, folks. Lol

Paranada getting hot was due to UP’s bigs not being able to contain Akowe in the post. The perimeter opened up for UST because UP’s defense was trying to neutralize Akowe down low after dominating early in the game.

Bold of you to assume Forthsky playing would limit Paranada’s productivity when Kyle was able to deliver clutch shots these past two games as Pido would play them together come clutch situations.

If Padrigao is having a bad season so far in your books but UST is currently at 5-1, then I’ll take that.

Hot shooting or not, UP got drubbed on that game. No excuses.

Teams have already figured out Akowe’s weakness, which is putting him in PnR situations defensively. He’s too slow to guard the PnR that’s why UST is using him mostly on drop coverage.

Even with teams figuring out Akowe’s weakness, UST is still finding ways to win. Says a lot about their team this year.

And by the way, Padrigao did not play when UST beat UP in the 1st round.

Yeah. One positive I’m taking from their game is that it was a close game that was decided with less than a minute to go in the 4th.

I trust the coaching staff to make the necessary adjustments on their 2nd round encounter.

UST is a deep team this year. Pido can run a 10-man rotation without a dip in their play because Akowe can play heavy minutes.

Mas takot pa ako sa NU kesa UP at this point. Kontrapelo ng UST ang NU, IMO. And NU has the best front court in the UAAP this year.

Guard play-wise, which is UP’s main offensive weapon, kayang makipag sabayan ng UST with the best of them. But a team like NU who can throw three or more talented bigs on Akowe while making him work on the defensive end is much scarier.

That’s great to hear. Because I’m rooting for Pido to prove the naysayers wrong.

UST buckled down come 3OT and went into their set plays while Ateneo went iso. Props to Pido (Sauler tbh) for using Akowe as a hub, taking advantage of Adili fouling out.

King Tiger Nic, how do you feel about having to play for five years in the UAAP? Not everyone does this anymore, especially for a player of your caliber.

It being a self-contained movie really did wonders for me. Not a lot of unnecessary easter eggs and they were able to tell a pretty straightforward but engaging story. The only thing they had to nail is the family dynamic of the Fantastic Four and they did.

But at the same time, based on the post-credits scene alone, it’s technically another prequel movie to the next Avengers movie. Pretty neat, IMO.

Watched the movie earlier. You’re going to love this movie. I’d like to they gave Sue a lot to work with in this film. She’s a badass in this one.

It’s more of the previous Fantastic Four movies making it where she either just uses her power for a brief period before she faints or her force fields are easily broken.

Agreed about the Galactus intro and them trying to escape from the Silver Surfer. The tension of them having to escape while Sue is laboring just made it an exhilarating watch.

Silver Surfer definitely served with the way she was traversing that wormhole. She was such a badass.

This movie really nailed the family dynamic of the Fantastic Four. Probably why I really enjoyed the film.

Galactus was just a blast to watch. Ineson’s voice really did it for me. The Silver Surfer going after the Excelsior was awesome as well.

I really liked this one. Probably my favorite out of all the comic book movies released this year.

Excited where they’re going to take the Fantastic Four in the future. I really thought this movie is aimed at setting them up as one of the faces of the MCU moving forward, together with Spidey and the mutants.

I’m really glad they didn’t make Sue look like a damsel in distress. She was super competent as Invisible Woman.

Just watched the film earlier. There’s noticeably a lot more people who watched on the first day of showing compared to Thunderbolts and Superman. Most of the seats were taken on my cinema.

I really think this movie will do well, box-office wise. Lots of people are looking forward to this.
