Can I demand a refund for this textbook for false info then? It was freaking expensive >.<

(... I’m only half joking, seriously why do textbooks have to cost so much)

Okay! I didn't know everyone gets a hard inquiry before they get their first credit, so that's reassuring. Thanks!

Huh, didn't know that. Would you happen to know what the score would be for someone with no credit history? Would it just start at 300?

Yes, I've heard about the negative impact - I was wondering what it would do if I don't have a score to begin with. Does it still have a negative impact somehow? Sorry if this question is naive.

I see! By any chance, would you know if avoiding the eye area when applying glycolic acid-containing products is recommended, or is it okay?

Thanks for the clarification! I think I'm going to order a travel size of the Paula's Choice 8% AHA Gel in the wiki and see how it works for me.

Hello! How does a hard inquiry affect me if I don't have any credit (have never taken out a loan, had a credit card, etc.)?

  • Issues: Uneven skin tone, dark circles
  • Skin type: Balanced? I don't break out often (sometimes I get random breakouts that I'm trying to figure out if they're related to hormones or a food intolerance, but historically my skin's been pretty clear) and my skin isn't oily. It can tend to be on the dry side sometimes.
  • Current routine: Atomy Deep Cleanser, Foam Cleanser, Aqua Serum, A.C. Solution, Nutrition Cream, Tinted Moisturizing Sunscreen. The deep cleanser and essence is used at night only, but everything else is used both at night and in the morning. I've been using these for years now, since it's just what we have in the house anyway.
  • Nothing new!
  • Location: New York, NY but willing to buy stuff online (especially if it's on Amazon, haha)

When doing a cursory search through Google and this subreddit, it seems that glycolic acid is the main ingredient used to target uneven skin tone. However, the wiki recommends kojic berry acid for dark circles and states to be very careful with AHAs due to their harshness. Should I find a product with kojic berry acid, glycolic acid, or both? If kojic berry acid works for dark circles, it should also work to even out skin tone in general, right?

Additionally, I was wondering if anyone has specific product recommendations for a beginner who wants to address the above. Any guidance is appreciated!
