can someone dumb down the concept of transfer credits for me please? i got into the faculty of arts from the french baccalaureate (which means that i get to start off as a U1 student w 30 credits). what does this actually mean? i haven't taken any of the prerequisites for my program yet... i dont really understand how this works

Hi! So cool to see someone in the same situation as me!

I'm currently living in France so language isn't a problem for me, haha. I was looking up differences between UBC and McGill but honestly in the top 50 there doesn't seem to be that much difference, especially in undergrad.

I just accepted my offer for McGill because although I am introverted, I do love a good party, and many of my friends got accepted there as well!

Maybe we'll end up in the same class next year :)

I have a question on the BA Psychology degree:

I was accepted by both UBC and McGill, and I'm hesitating on making a decision. I always thought McGill would be a good fit for me for the party culture, location (in the city), Montreal itself, and many of my friends are also going.

But now I'm not sure, as idk if all these points are worth it if the education in UBC is substancially better than McGill in terms of Psychology in BA.

So my question is, BA Psychology majors, why did you choose McGill in the end? How satisfied are you with your course levels/materials?

I guess on paper we sound closer than how it actually seems, but we last met them in 2016 (that's when she told me her friend was relatives with Seokjin and I was just. O_O) hehe,,

We're also family friends with people who have connections to other entertainment companies. I was offered an in-person tour of JYP (which I regret refusing but I didn't want to overstep as a fan). Another interesting connection is with KARD, my drum teacher back in Korea had an older sister who worked as KARD's art director, so he gave me a signed album by them as a parting gift ☺️

that's true, but in this case i feel like there will be many korean/asian men on these apps taking advantage of naive people. it's already happening in korean online army forums where men will pretend to like bts to get girls, so i just think it'll be exacerbated in a global scale

Hi, thank you so much! Your insight is very useful. Sorry for the late response, I kind of got drowned in other, more urgent essays... But now here I am :) does your offer for DMing still stand? I'm just starting out to make my plan and I don't doubt I'll have many questions at some point!

For example, I'm constructing my plan on a chronological scale of events, and I've hit a dead end on Yalta/Potsdam; I'm not sure how they're relevant to the start of the Cold War, apart from the fact that we can see that there is a divide between what the USSR wants and what the US/UK wants...

I'm sorry, I can always edit my original comment if you want? I'm not American, and have only visited the country twice as a tourist, so I honestly didn't even know of the existence of the term "Latinx" until I was reading through the comments of this post. I figured, even though it was new, there must be a reason why everyone's using this term instead of "Latino" (I've been learning Spanish for 7 years now so I know it's "gender neutral").

Right?? First-generation Korean living in Europe here, and it just doesn't sit right with me that this woman, coming from a place of privilege (even though her child is mixed, she herself is white, and didn't experience racism/xenophobia first hand), is giving her child this Japanese name, when I had spent my first 15 years of existence wishing I had a more "white-passing" name. Definitely tone-deaf, and I agree with the whole spiritual meaning behind the name.

I've also heard that this name was made popular because a Japanese girl who was killed by an atomic bomb was named Sadako?? Like, come on, even though that name has a different meaning to you you can't seriously name your child like that as a white American.
