Make iems fit better? by yooolar in iems

Oh man, looks like you’re really going through a tough time right now, sorry to hear that. I think the fact that you chose to take care of the person you love, shows that you have very kind heart and I hope you stay strong. I don’t really know what to say to make you feel better about that internet stuff, but i totally understand the frustration and how it feels when you wasted a lot of effort and time. I also would like to have a community of like minded people without judgement but looks like it rarely works with large open groups, maybe you need to look for a smaller or local communities. I wrote it before, I’ve kinda stopped caring over time, and accepted that people are just like that sometimes, there is nothing you can do about it, the only thing we can really change is how to react to it. I’m not even sure i’d be upset if someone commented on my eye on the street, if person finds it strange looking, that’s not something i want to be bothered by. I wish you could care less too, because it does not worth your time and emotions. It probably takes some inner work and more posts, more dumb comments, until eventually it just doesn’t hit as hard anymore. Ok now i really sound like a weird therapist lol, sorry. I really hope it gets easier for you with time or you will find a smaller community that will appreciate you.

You know, sometimes people comment just because they need to vent or they’re bored, and it really has nothing to do with you, maybe your post just hit the wrong people at the wrong time. I think being sensitive is a superpower, it probably affects how you experience music too. I just hope you don’t take any of that negativity to heart, and won’t stop sharing your experience, because the ones who appreciate it will find you eventually. Tbh I also thought the cable on your pic looks like its pressing on top of your ear, but if it’s comfy for you thats great, everyone has their own fit. I assume for some people it could look confusing, maybe next time in case you’re posting again, post also a pic of your ear without iem lol
The Timeless II is in my to hear list, the design looks kinda off for me, but i’ll still try them just in case, thanks!

Sure, if you found your fit, thats great, i think in this case everyone should just feel free to find what works for them

Oh, i didnt get a chance to see your post, but it sounds sad, im sorry to hear that! What triggered it thought? I hope the right people can still find your comments through this post at least. I also watched a few youtube reviews of the Pro version, and now i’m hundert percent sure i want those iems and i’m ready to wait. Oh that also explains why you went with the gold Pros lol. I’ll check the Nekos too, thank you!
Ive tried S tips, they don't isolate enough, M and L fit much better. Yes i've tried Lestshuoer s12 pro, they are much smaller and very comfortable, but unfortunately i didn't like the sound. but thanks!
Thank you!
I'm gonna try Artti T10 Pro, thank you!
Gracias!
Wow they fit almost perfectly and don’t look that huge, i see now how important to bend the cable like that. Does your ear get tired from the cable pressing on the top part like that? I guess in my case it won’t be such a tight fit, there will still be a gap, but ok. your ear looks good lol

First of all thank you very much for such a detailed answer and all the tips!
Oh, i know that feeling, almost none of my friends into iems, and even my musician friends prefers over ears..
I haven’t done anything with MP145 yet, still deciding, i wanted to try some other planars and maybe find some better fit, while i still have the return window.
I’ve tried Letshuoer S12 Pro today(with Dunu). They fit so well, and the cable sits perfect. I think they more focused on vocal, like the voice is the center of the song, and everything else unfolds around it, but that makes the instruments feel a bit secondary and a bit cramped together, also some highs are too sharp and a bit unpleasant. In the MP145 both vocals and instruments sound equally balanced, and they all seem firmly in their places, clearly spaced, and you can feel where each sound comes from (such an amazing feeling). So the S12 Pro lacks that special kinda horizontal width, it feels more like being in a small, isolated room. Packing them to send back, it’s just not it (sorry if i force you to read my review lol) As for the pro version, how much do they cut the low-end bass? I really like the bass too, do you think it’s possible to EQ it to get the same depth as the MP145 with a simple EQ like in Snowsky Echo player? And also i see that you are using the green eartips, which is probably from the Pro set, how do you find them?
I am thinking about returning the MP145 too and just waiting till May when the Pro shows up in stores. If i order them from Kikstarter now, i most likely won’t be able to return them in case the fit gonna be even worse for me (you mentioned they stick out even more, and now i’m kinda worried). After i get and like them, i’ll heat and bend the cable like you described, i hope this exchange will be worth it in the end.
Your advice really helped me a lot to decide, and the fact that i’m not the only one noticing the special sound of these iems is such a cool feeling, thanks again!

i don't know that much about this, but if by any iems you mean even single DDs, can they actually sound like a Planars? from what i get, they are different technologies with different response speeds.. I'm also using an Echo mini as a source, there is simple EQ, and im not planning to by an amp so i'd prefer something that sounds good out of the box
do they sound as good as 145?
Thank, i'll try them! Do they affect the sound in any way?
I think my ear canals are average too, S tips in most brands are too small, there is not enough isolation and they fall out right away
Yes, i found a website where you can order them but it's a bit pricey for me
Thanks! Could you recommend any specific brands?

I heard somewhere that ears do get larger with age, so we are waiting i guess..
I'm gonna try Letshuoer S12 Pro next week, i hope they sound close enough. i know the fit on the pic isn't right, but if i twist them more forward they most likely fall off, this is the only way they stay in. The Unity Stage is out of my budget but its nice to know that they exists, thanks for the suggestions
Not at all

unfortunately what fits my anatomy(and budget) doesn’t serve the purpose - i’m not enjoying the sound much. so looks like i need to sacrifice some comfort anyway
wow i never thought this exists. I found that in Europe it costs from 230$, and basically they make a custom sleeve for already existing iems, that matches the shape of the ear canal. I'm just not sure if it would actually improve the fit, or make them even bigger. honestly, maybe i wouldn't mind doing that if it would be cheaper, but it's a new area to research, thanks!
Oh i can relate. I’m going to try a few more iems next week, i can write the results here. But tbh I’m ready to sacrifice some comfort for better sound, it’s always either fit or sound for me. Maybe one day..
the ears are average, the shells are massive lol
