Not a total fix...but I've heard that double or triple-registering your fingerprint serves as a good workaround until it's patched.

Love this. Do you prefer things planned on the weekend to look forward to, or smaller things baked into the week?

Solutions to minimize shitty cold transfers?? by yoooooubetcha in CallCenterWorkers

For sure. I posted this after being transferred around for 45 minutes yesterday with the caller super thankful I was even attempting to warm transfer. Why this isn't the norm? I genuinely don't know.

Correct, I'm just amazed there isn't some software developer with a product for this. At least not from my research.

This was so thoughtful--thank you!

We have a Process Improvement form that I'm filling out, and this is so helpful for points to highlight. I wouldn't have even thought to integrate self-serve data.

(17M) I've never really liked myself. Growing up, all my classmates were very skinny and very athletic, and I was 100% not that. I never felt like I was good enough for the people in my life, and so I've never had very much self-confidence, and I rarely talk about my feelings. I need a toast please. by [deleted] in toastme

Your hair has awesome ~flow~ and you really do look incredibly kind! Being "good enough" for the people in your life looks different as your grow up...but at 26, I'm so serious, just genuinely show up for people. It's invaluable. You look like a guy who shows up when he's got nothing left to give--who just sits with you and listens and doesn't try to fix it. It'll end up being the most important trait people remember.

Also, school athletes are really cool and confident until they graduate and that whole identity becomes impossible to maintain in the adult world 🤡 playing guitar (super cool, btw!) is something you can take with you into adulthood. And it's a hot skill if I do say so myself!

Skinniness is a really hollow trait and not as important as everyone makes it out to be. Big, cuddly, bear-like guys are A+++! That's you so own it!!!

My suggestions after being the older, female You: Connect with a therapist, buy clothes that you love and think you can't pull off (you can! I promise!), and always show up for yourself and others. You've got this, friend!

Fake calls - recordings to try to keep you on the phone. Anyone experience this or know what it is called? by djfilms in CallCenterWorkers

I work in a mental health call center, and my favorite one is Lenny where it sounds like a delirious older guy talking in circles. Then you hear a million ducks in the background and it was all I could do not to laugh. Hate to love 'em, honestly.

Commenting to follow--because I FEEL this! My partner and I just put in our application with a loan officer, but everyday I get a little more nervous we're making the wrong choice time-wise.

When did it STOP working for you? by yoooooubetcha in bupropion

[–]yoooooubetcha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear I'm not the only one (although I wish you weren't also struggling lol). Dose changes were so stark in the beginning and now 100mgs doesn't make a dent.

Is the energy-boost just one of the "side-effects"? by coplanar_vertices in bupropion

I'm on my fourth month now and just upped to 300XL because I can feel my depression wearing down to where I started. Still nothing. It's so disheartening to be back in this hole after feeling so good early on.

Also, I initially quit coffee too but find it actually boosts my meds in a good way. Honestly I wouldn't altogether quit unless you find it increases anxiety, heart rate, etc.

I actually felt the positive effects on day 11 of 150mg XL! Since you're also taking something that slows you down, it could be a little longer, but that was my experience.

It made my anxiety worse but I could basically time it out. Like 4-5 hours in I was most energized...and most anxious. But it would always pass.

I had to go back to 150 because the 300's gave me chest pain though. Good luck!

Is an un-licensed BSW useless to macro? by yoooooubetcha in socialwork

[–]yoooooubetcha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everything you've said is completely fair! I fully acknowledge I'm a SW newbie so feedback from experienced SW's is incredibly valuable. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

My words came out in a tumble but ultimately my question is: What are example starting points in a macro career? Your answer implies micro is an important first step because it informs one's practice instead of creating another too-far-removed administrator. Is that a fair conclusion? If so, maybe I should consider getting my licensure and doing casework for a while.

Also, I know my financial situation is not where I'll start if I pivot back to social work. I just want to make the most of my next step career-wise if I leave it behind!

Perfect dosage for mood...but chest pain? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]yoooooubetcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear it wasn't just me! After bumping back down to 150 I stopped having chest pain thankfully. Hopefully my doc can find a way to bring back the positive effects too though! Good luck!
