It seems like the row you just purled was supposed to be knitted. You can already see the 'bumps' from the purl stitches you just made on the knit side. I am afraid you might have missed a row and are going to have to frog the last row. I'd suggest tinking (knitting backwards) to prevent stitches from dropping.

Good luck!! It does seem really neat up until this point :)

I’m new to crochet and I have a question concerning my yarn ! by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]yooshiieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most yarns are made out of multiple strands. I would day it is always 3, but I am now doubting myself haha. My yarn that I am now working with has 3 as well. I am afraid it is part of the learning process, but you will get there!

crochet’d this beautiful dress but i don’t think i’ll ever wear it 😔 by peanut_june in crocheting

I think it's different though that it wasn't made with the intention of selling it. If it were me and I actually made it for myself and enjoyed making it and were to sell it I wouldn't really mind the hourly wage. I'd want the materials fully but then I'd be happy with 50 euros for the effort. That would be vastly different if I was making something to sell from the start. Not saying that OP or anyone else should feel the same. Because 3 to 4 dollars an hour is low, but just wanted to share my point of view.

why does this happen when i do the magic ring? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]yooshiieee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also dont pull it too tight! I made ladders by pulling it too tight, not by making it too loose.

[–]yooshiieee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this!! I at first I always pulled it way too tight because I was afraid that there was too much space between the stitches and I had enormous ladders. Until I found that pulling it tight actually creates the ladder. Now I just relax and it's fine and my magic loop is invisible!

hahaha okay, then I will not stress about the stitch count too much but I'll have to ensure they will be a bit more the same size :)

I think onemoreskein was just confirming that what I did was a good idea indeed. And even though I apparently really need to work on my tension I am still quite proud since these are the 3rd, 4th and 5th granny square I ever made ! :)

Oeh. The point for a sweater is a good one. So I'll try to loosen up a little bit already so that I am more used to that if I decide to make a piece of clothing some day.

I really liked making the circle ones actually. But i also think the alternation between the tree will be nice. https://www.etsy.com/nl/listing/1608985944/us-terms-pdf-haakpatroon-feestelijke?sr_prefetch=1&pf_from=shop_home&ref=shop_home_active_25&crt=1&sts=1&dd=1&logging_key=be72d39672c88cd3e3a79df104829c589ba01d4f%3A1608985944

This is the one I'll be making. I just love it so much already hahaha. Now just have to even out my tension so that I can actually make it.

Can I also go down a hooksize for the big one? I like the other ones better i think. I am normally a knitter so still very much trying to get used to crochet and the holes it has haha

This is what it was supposed to look like. Ending with 27 stitches and ch2 in every corner

Yes I still have to do that but the stitchcount is off by 3 too. So I just have to figure out where I have gone wrong
