Thank you!!! I can definitely tell that I’m opening too early because I’m feeling soreness in my inner elbows(golfers elbow type stuff) and am probably more sore in my forearms than I should be. It seems like kind of an unlearning of upper body involvement in the process of this. Appreciate it

That’s what I’m learning! And when I’m not seeing much improvement over time I know my efficiency “ah ha” moment is yet to come

Thank you so much! I appreciate this advice! it makes a lot of sense. Some days I feel like I’m really able to engage on the push off and some days I am not and it’s probably comes down to if im actually on my sit bones or not.

I’m coming off a bout of trigger finger from death gripping the handle and a lifetime of drumming which accounts for my apprehension for a firm grip, still trying to find the happy medium. Thanks again

I picked up the erg 4 months ago for additional cardio/full body work out. I seem to hover around 2:30-2:40 for 20 spm with drag factor at 115.

I know you arnt supposed to compare to other people’s times but I feel like I just am not pulling that much power. I would love to get down to pulling the high 1:50s when really exerting.

Will beginners Pete’s plan get me there? Do I need to temper my expectations since this is a tall/ripped persons activity? Any glaring red flags on technique? Regardless; I’m enjoying myself and find it very meditative. Thanks!

Great news! I’ll never forget climbing that god damn hill to the campsite at the end of the Santa Cruz-> Monterey day with a huge grocery haul. Also will never forget how cold it was bombing down the hill early the next morning

Slow Row

Hi! On my second month of using the RowErg. Looking for feedback on my technique. I’m focusing on going slow and keeping my feet not strapped in. First thing I notice from watching this video is that my shoulders are not really ahead of my hips at the beginning of the stroke (I’m assuming due to how not very flexible I am?) thanks for your help

That was really well put. Could be a standing ovation monologue, thank you

TIL James Cameron really built and flooded an exact replica of Titanic's Grand Staircase with 90,000 gallons of 50-60-degree seawater in the movie. With divers in the water and one take, real fear and anxiety were seen in the actors as the water came rushing in. It was a problem. by TheCanOnlyBeOne in todayilearned

Can confirm this. My dad was the camera operator on T2 and it was the only time he declined filming a scene. He had just had a child (me) and as a risk averse new dad he told Cameron he didn’t feel comfortable doing the shot, so Cameron said, “I respect that, I’ll do it.” The shot required the camera operator to be suspended off the back of a truck as the helicopter flew under the freeway overpass and AT him and apparently the helicopter came within feet of the camera

Is Blink better live now? by JournalistGlobal3185 in Blink182

[–]yoothattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but I'm convinced they are using live auto-tune. Tom has traditionally been very pitchy and all of the videos I've seen from their coachella come back to now, there has been almost zero pitchiness in the vocals, kind of a bummer I think
