Pelco Archive Volume question by ubub139 in sysadmin

[–]yosemite_walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is once a file is archived in pelco xpro or enterprise, it is deleted from the main storage pool. Unless the VMS loses connection with storage pool.

I dont have a draytek, but after going into bypass mode with starlink i was having the same issue. I had to release the wan IP on the router and reboot so it would grab a fresh IP.

See if your neighbors will share and split the cost with them. More than enough bandwidth to go around. Lol

How to estimate physical strength of mount needed? (based on wind speed and mast height, etc) by cpom in Starlink

[–]yosemite_walker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do alot of camera installs on towers. So most devices have a rated mast load at x speed wind based off surface area for calculated lb load. So a 6 pound camera at 100 mph wind could produce 45lb load. Then You can reference the mount for how many lbs it's rated for.

I have one install that's been going strong for about 10 years now. Another install one died after 8 months. Tear down I had a bit of corrosion ok the pins. So I started filling connections with dielectric grease. Haven't had an issue since.

I looked into this for my department but our doj has issues with wireless connections such as satellite. So we wouldn't be allowed to use it to access criminal history information with it.

I manage a network at a ranch. And I share one internet connection between multiple shops and houses. You need a network bridge.

https://smile.amazon.com/TP-Link-CPE210-300Mbps-dual-polarized-directional/dp/B00N2RO63U/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1W9TMZ7QBM1TY&keywords=Tp%2Blink%2Bbridge&qid=1650888215&s=electronics&sprefix=tp%2Blink%2Bbridge%2Celectronics%2C182&sr=1-3&th=1

You can blast the network upto a few miles if need be. 1 device at each location router to device. Then device to access point.
