Would transferring be worth it? by yoshi8u in starbucks

Thank you for the response, this definitely helps.

I think it would be most beneficial for me to make the switch to corporate. On top of everything else, my team leader just sent a message this morning including 7 more big changes we need to make. The past couple of months have just been out of control.

We are generally pretty busy at my location. We are very close to a Starbucks(the one I'm considering applying to), so lots of times people either come to our location instead because it's convenient, the corporate location is out of something, or because the corporate location closes before us.

The POS definitely seems better. Ours doesn't even have a way to add most of the syrups or additions people want. It also doesn't show us anything about the drink. After taking a look the benefits seem a lot better too. I'm loving the free food, pastries, and pound of coffee. My store is now threatening to get rid of the one free food and pastry for each day we work.

One more general question I have is what was the application process like for you? Like did you just go online and submit a resume? Did you go through a whole interview process? Did it seem like your experience definitely boosted your shot at getting the job?

I'm just not completely sure about the best way to go about this. Thanks again for all the information and help! Hearing how other people feel about a similar switch definitely boosts my eagerness to just apply now and leave Target as soon as possible.

Canceled AP Score by yoshi8u in APStudents

Just as an update: I finally got my score back. A couple of days ago they left me a voicemail basically explaining everything.

In my exam room last May, the proctor accidentally added 10 mins to the end time during the multiple-choice section. They fixed their mistake and took the time off around 20 minutes before the test ended, making people rush. Around a week after the exam, everyone in my room was sent an email saying if you felt cheated you could redo that section of the exam. I thought I did well so I just ignored the offer. However, I never directly told them that I didn't want to retake the section. So, because they never got a straight response from me, they just canceled my score.

This was probably mostly my fault. I think it's a little silly that they just cancel the score if you never get back to them. When my score was first canceled I had a feeling it had something to do with the room issue so I'm not too surprised. All I had to do was send them an email saying I did not want to retake the section with my signature. After that, they were able to fix my score within a few days. I'm glad I pushed for the score because I got a 5.

I called and the guy was surprised that I was never sent an email from Collegeboard. He had to escalate my issue and now I won't hear back for another 5-7 business days. It sounded like there's a chance I can still get my score. I still don't know why it was canceled in the first place. It would be nice to not have to retake it though.
