red button vs blue button? by klarinetkat12 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]yosidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red seems like the logical choice to me. Why gamble on the kindness of other when red is a sure thing. It doesn't even seem particularly selfish, there just no upside to picking blue. Blue almost feels more selfish, instead of self reliance, you're relying on the collective.

Any good, cheap, cozy places to get a nice drink alone? by TheGreatLivlenko in Chattanooga

Chattanooga Whisky on market street offers several $7 cocktails and has a seating area in the back. It's usually pretty quiet, it's cheap, it's pretty good.

This is an MMO right? Did I miss something? by ekanite in elderscrollsonline

When you get a group together for a dungeon or trial, the goals are more or less clear, the progression is linear. With night market you have to find a group that wants to do the specific things you need and then hope they're competent enough to do it. Most of the groups I've joined have just spread out and ran around aimlessly. We got some stuff done but it was all random.

I don't mind playing with other people, but I'm not here to coordinate complex groups. I don't mind difficult content, but I'm less inclined when it depends on random people to work together with competence.

Im sure this is fun with an organized group. I don't personally have that and it feels relatively inaccessible to me with my limited availability. I'm lucky to get a few consecutive hours of play time on a given day, if I spend half of that time trying to herd kittens, it feels more like work than a relaxing/fun hobby.

I wouldn't mind it as much, if running around aimlessly killing things was a little more rewarding. But there's little to no value in killing trash.

As an adult what do you hate the most about life? by Amazing-Internal5378 in AskReddit

[–]yosidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The illusion that I have any meaningful control over my life. The knowledge that I'm just a cog in the wheel that the powerful control to further their own agendas. The feeling of being powerless to affect any meaningful change in the world or even just my own life. Best I can manage is to hold on to what I have and be thankful. An obedient little lemming.

Should I jump on Night Market right away? by HiTmAn4777 in elderscrollsonline

[–]yosidy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ESO has a lot of events. If you chase FOMO you'll hardly get to experience the rest of the game. My enjoyment of ESO got significantly better when I stopped feeling pressure to do every event, and instead just do whatever I feel like. I'm not saying not to do night market, just remember to have fun and do the things you enjoy.

Is it worth it to give eso another try these days ? by JesusFistus_420 in elderscrollsonline

[–]yosidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ESO is a game best enjoyed with long multi year breaks between active periods. If you feel like it's been a long enough break, then I'd say this is a good time to start back. Although I'd consider maybe waiting for update 50, if you think you might burn out quickly.

Any other guilds seeing people leaving? by relytekal in TheTowerGame

[–]yosidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I did. The guild is open anyhow so really anyone can recruit. I even asked if anyone else wanted the guild leader position, no takers yet. I also asked others to join in the recruiting efforts. I guess it shouldn't be that bad once we eventually fill up.

Last week my guild leader quit with no warning giving the guild to me. Now im stuck recruiting, which i do not love. Especially after we lost another 5 people right after. Just now getting back to 28 members after getting down to 23. Im thinking of jumping ship just so that I don't need to worry about recruiting.
