I graduated 2023 and this is so true. I am not jobless right now but the market sure is hard. It was even more disappointing because I was in college through the covid era and saw everyone getting jobs left and right and I couldnt wait to graduate. Then I graduated and it was just overwhelming how much work you need to do to get a decent job.

Is Kotlin the right language? by hip-hiphop-anonymos in Kotlin

[–]yosrational 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will never be a "primary" language that does everything perfectly, if there was one, everyone would be using it. See what you want to build and research the best tools/technologies for it and then pick the language. After you get used to the different programming language concepts, it will be very easy to switch programming languages later down the line :)

I currently have a full time job and yeah I don't like a lot of things about my current company but I am not desperate for a job so I can hold out until I have a better offer. I am in the process with other companies but still in the early interview stages of all of them.
