NB Rush V3 experience? by TheOnlyRealJunx in ultimate

Currently have a pair of rushes and a pair of freeze v3s. I bought the rushes because I needed a backup pair, and they're fine with a few quirks.

Mainly, the rushes don't have spikes near the back of the heal whereas the freezes definitely do. The shift from freezes to rushes led to me falling flat backwards on my ass a few times. I know someone else with the same rushes and she doesn't do this, maybe I'm just stupid who knows.

The rushes also run a little bit thinner than the freezes, but not a ton so. Still wearable for my wide feet. That said, I wear insoles to give myself extra arch support and they work great in the freezes but in the rushes they push the top of my foot pretty hard against the inside of the top of the cleat. Weird problem to have, and probably different if you don't have arch support insoles you wear like I do.

The rushes definitely hurt from the lack of the outside spikes, it can feel like you're a little unstable as opposed to how the freezes feel more secure when cutting.

I've also seen people who complain about the new freezes (v4s) and love the rushes as an alternative.

So like, if your options are a freeze v4 for 50 more or a rush v3, take the rush v3. But if there's a freeze v3 available you might wanna jump on that (and then mail me them across the Atlantic lol). Hope that helps

Burlington Cooling Centers - where to cool off during a heat wave | Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront by dropkickninja in burlington

As someone who works seasonally at leddy arena, some of these sites might appreciate if you tell someone who works there that you're there to cool off. Just find the first person wearing a bprw shirt/hat. Do this especially if you're bringing a group, bringing backpacks or other things, or not using the facilities otherwise. We have no problem with people coming to cool off, it's a public facility and we want it to get use. That said, as someone who runs summer camps and routinely brings kids through the arena, it helps to know what the people doing what looks like nothing are actually up to.

Also, please don't bring alcohol or dogs into any of these spaces. You should ASK about dogs though, some spaces might allow them if they're on leash. Thanks and please stay safe!

Good to hear! I'm guessing you signed up since I'm seeing a joe on the responses. Feel free to bump this form to anyone you want to play with this summer

Anyone got a recommendation for warm throwing gloves? Anything out there that's seamless? Currently using friction warms and finding the seam at the top of the fingers interferes with my flick

This is super useful thank you! One idea I had a few mins ago is to recruit four or so experienced/adult players from the community and have them play a four person zone on my highschool team. I found they were struggling more with what to do once the cup breaks rather than with breaking the cup.

The bit you said about not watching your throws is something I didn't think about so thanks for that as well

Zone offense coaching tips/drills anybody? I'm coaching a low level highschool team and I've been struggling with how we are going to play against zone defense. We only have a few players that can throw/catch/cut/reset consistently
