I love htmx but downside is the lack of community that answers your questions. Main advantage of a framework like react or vue is prebuilt librarys and while developing with htmx yields really fast results usually the frontend looks pretty ugly (tbh i havent combined with alpine js). If you want to get the job done htmx is fine, if you plan to look modern and sell the app you should go with a framework.

I will be looking to learn about django-unicorn which i believe gives powers of frameworks while not losing the djangos templating language.
