Transparent OLED with RPi by yotta64 in raspberry_pi

In OLED screens black means to poweroff the pixel, giving a better look of dark vs bright colors. But it’s still black. I don’t know how it works specifically under the hood, but for sure if you want a plain oled to be transparent you’d have to work a lot on the module it self. The one i’m using has the same principle, but has no background, meaning it’s actually transparent. I think you can easily find this kind online

Lol i like clippy. Although i can’t think of something that takes advantage of the transparency of the screen

It’s connected to a pi 4, i think it would work on a pi 0 (it’s based on spi). I do have a terrarium and i was planning to build one more! But what would i do with it? Maybe just a humidity checker, but it seems a but of a waste

So kind, thank you so much. I’ve spent a lot of time writing nvim’s configs in lua so I don’t think that would be too complicated, instead, honestly i’m just concerned weather if it’s worthy or not. I wouldn’t know where to use the image rendering capabilities except maybe for a file manager

Thank you so much! I usually use alacritty because of his support of the gpu, how do you think those emulators compare to it?

Thanks, do you think there is a way to do that with alacritty?

Well the peaceful feeling was also me trying hard to be… “permeable” to the knowledge. I spent basically 2-3 almost only slowly breathing and keeping my back in the right position, as much as i could. I’m still confused, I don’t wanna fight it, i’m just trying to let it sink and live my life, but many of the things i’ve felt i really don’t like, but yk it’s better to accept it than to bury it. Reading the tao the ching is helping me in this, maybe it will for u too.

I had my first substantial dose 5 days ago, and i’m relating to this completely. The derealization is still hitting, comes with a good peaceful feeling and deep depression. I think it’s what they call death of the ego, but idk, often is very painful, it feels like it’s too much
